Mini Metro Overview
What is Mini Metro? Mini Metro is a game where the player designs the subway layout for a growing city. The game starts with three stations, and the player must draw routes between them to connect them with subway lines. Commuters travel along the lines to get around the city. As the city grows, more stations open, and commuters appear faster, putting pressure on the player to constantly redesign their lines to maximize efficiency. The game has three modes: Normal, Endless, and Extreme, and features 20 real-world cities to design subways for. The game's map is built in the classic abstract subway style of Harry Beck, and the soundtrack is responsive to the player's metro system. Mini Metro was voted the Mac App Store "Game of the Year" for 2016.
