Mancala Features and Description

1. Pick up marbles from any of bottom holes and move them counter-clockwise.

2. If your move ends at your home hole (right one) you can move again.

3. Mancala (also known as Kalah) is an ancient board game.

4. The game ends when all six holes on either side are empty.

5. The winner is the player with the most marbles in home hole.

    excellent version of an African classic game!

    This is a truly good version of the classic African strategy game: Mancala! It boasts several ways to customize the board and play of the game and in so doing surpasses every other version of this game with which I am familiar. Stop reading this & DL the game already! What are you still doing reading this review? The game is eager for you to play it, already! Sheesh . . .

    Nice graphics

    I like everything about this game. It’s very straightforward. The only confusing part is capturing your opponents pieces. If you’ve played that way before, ( I have), it’s no problem. For those who haven’t though, it’d be nice to have the option to capture or not. I do like that it has the option of putting a piece in your opponents bin or not. The background and the light-colored wood are even relaxing.

    When In Tabula Raza Mode

    Let’s face it, there are times when one just doesn’t want to think about anything. This game is great for calming one. I love to play it when trying to come up ith new ideas or deal with some puzzling or concerning situation. I use it as a kind of therapy (cheaper than a shrink). I’ve even done adaptations of it with a handful of rocks when not near a computer. Great fun.

    New game for me and I l LOVE it!!!

    I received a wooden fold-out game of Mancala from my brother on December 27, 2016 as a Christmas gift. I had heard of the game but never played it. My husband and I sat down and figured it out and have played several games just in the last few days. I decided to download the app since it was free and I enjoy playing the game. I highly recomend it!
