Turmoil Overview
What is Turmoil? Turmoil is a simulation game that takes inspiration from the 19th century oil rush in North America. Players take on the role of an oil entrepreneur, leasing land at town auctions, building rigs, creating efficient pipe networks, and selling oil to maximize profits. The game features a campaign mode where players can build their rags-to-riches oil baron career and beat their rivals, as well as a single game mode with procedurally generated levels. Turmoil also includes dozens of upgrades and tools to improve oil mining operations, interactions with town characters, and a stock auction where players can outbid their competitors to acquire more town shares and become the new mayor.

GREAT START, but weak game.
This game is really fun for a few hours, then it’s just do the same thing over and over. A seemingly simple fix would be to add a sandbox mode like “zombie mode” where you can’t win, but just do better every time. Would be worth $10 if there was more unique game time.
Great when it worked.
will not run on PC Catalina.
A great little game that got deleted in less than 24 hours
Turmoil was a really fun game while it lasted - it's fairly easy to pick up (play the campaign which has a tutorial) The game does a nice job of only introducing things as they are needed. It's maybe best described as a cross between dig-dug and a multitude of business simulators out there. I really enjoyed playing it. Then I deleted it. Here's why.. The game has no manual save feature. I was in the middle of a level, pretty far in the game, and something called my attention away from the Windows. When I came back my oil wells were overflowing. This resulted in fines, which effectively put me in a position where I couldn't recover. If the game had manual savegames, I could have restored to a point in time, but since my progress was saved automatically, I was kinda done. I wasn't about to go back and start over at the beginning. That, plus I knew I had spent too much time on it so I deleted it. It's still a great game and yes I know walking away mid game wasn't smart, which is why I rated it 5 stars. If the developers read this, please include some kind of 'point in time' restore/restart feature - It will help future customers enjoy what is otherwise a great game. Also there is one small bug - after every mission the screen reverts from Full screen to windowed.
Turmoil is Great
This game is really good. Plain and simple. It has somewhat of a learning curve and may be difficult for some at first, but once you learn how to properly play the game it becomes very addictive and fun in the campaign m ode to buy all the upgrades and compete againists the other Oil Drillers. This game is great to play in your free time, is addictive, and runs smoothly with a small framerate drop when using an upgrade called the scanner. Reccomend anyone to play it!
