Klammer Overview
What is Klammer? Klammer is a Mac app that allows users to open and view Winmail.dat, MSG, and OFT files, including their attachments, body, and message details. It supports displaying rich-formatted message body, exporting emails to EML files, and opening emails in other applications such as Mail, Outlook, and Thunderbird. Klammer also allows users to import contacts to Address Book, save contacts to vCard, import appointments and calendar events to iCal, and export appointments, calendar events, and tasks to vCalendar (.ics) files. The app features Quick Look attachments in MSG, OFT, or Winmail.dat files, Spotlight integration, and seamless integration with the OS. The Bulk Convert add-on, which allows users to convert multiple MSG, OFT, and Winmail.dat files to Mac OS-friendly formats, is available via a free in-app purchase.

Great if changed to Windows from PC and have lots of msg files
I switched from a PC to a Windows, but still use Outlook. I had thousands of emails saved in hundreds of folders. Klammer lets me read and forward them. I bought bulk convert. Once purchased it's good for life. It converted the thousands of files into the same folders, by choosing the destination file as the same as the source file. Worked great. Not sure I needed to do the bulk convert, since I could read any msg file anyway. Customer support returned my email question in less than 24 hours and did a follow up email. Works fast. Installs fast. I don't give hardly any apps 5 stars, this is a very high rating by my standards.
Perfect for reading Windows Outlook emails on my Windows
This is perfect for my purposes - I use a Windows computer at work but synchronize all the files onto my Windows for working at home. I bought Outlook for Windows and I can import email folders into the Windows that way, but for the individual email files saved in various non-email folders, Klammer allows me to read them and makes it easy to go back and forth between the two computers. For $5, this was well worth it!
Great for converting bulk .msg files to .vcf!
This app works great if you need to convert .msg files to .vcf files. As of October 2017, the in-app option for bulk conversion is free, and once that’s enabled you can convert multiple files easily. Buy it if you’re moving hundreds of contact files from Windows to Windows, and you saved your contacts from Outlook. From purchase to conversion, the whole process took less than a minute.
Worked…. then NOT
After initial installation it worked for a while, not too friendly… (reading .msg files) if you want just a few emails at a time, it’s not very good: need to browse over and over, it works on either 1 at a time, or the whole lot. Lately can’t get it to even get going: on clicking on the icon, it briefly flashes the icon in the task bar, then nothing… Good idea, needs LOTS of improvement!!
