What is MIDI Guitar? MIDI Guitar is a software that allows you to play software instruments and synths on your guitar, converting it into a polyphonic MIDI controller/keyboard. It runs in real-time with latency and accuracy comparable to expensive hardware MIDI guitar solutions. It can be used with Garageband, MainStage, Logic, or even hardware synths using MIDI cables. The app is easy to set up and works with all types of guitars, but performs best with a solid body electric guitar. The app is free to try and evaluate with your setup, and if you previously purchased the in-app-purchase, you can restore it in the "Shop" section. 3. MIDI Guitar for Garageband is very easy to set up (it just works) but it has some limitations compared to the more expensive plugin version of MIDI Guitar (more info at our website).
4. MIDI Guitar for GarageBand is meant to be used with Garageband's virtual instruments but it is also a powerful and versatile guitar effect processor on its own.
5. In order to use MIDI Guitar you need guitar- or audio-interface.
6. It can be used with MainStage or Logic as well, using Microsoft's Virtual MIDI standard, or even hardware synths with good old MIDI cables.
7. It will work with all types of guitars, but it performs best with a solid body electric guitar.
