Not sure what the hubbub is all about…It does its job well.

I mean, sure it’s not as flashy looking as some of the other equivalent apps. But it does its job…and solidly so. I was able to construct a single ringtone in about 3 minutes. It accesses the playlists you created in iTunes and you can directly access the song from there. Keep in mind that it will keep the same exact song order as you placed it in the playlist…not put it in alphabetical order. You can easily set start and end times by sliding the “active field” or actually input specific times. You can also nudge it with arrow keys. It goes without saying you can control the length of the ringtone (longest ringtone allowed is 40 seconds…minimum is 5 seconds) Once it’s finished making the ringtone, it automatically sends it to your iTunes Ringtone folder.

    Awesome App!!

I don't understand why so many people are complaining, I downloaded the app and started using it easily, have already made 16 ringtones with songs in my iTunes Library with such an ease. App is really easy to use and to understand, all you need to be able to create a ringtone is at the starting UI, you don't have to navigate to any kind of menu, and for those who can't find the tones after it has been created the app imports it automatically to your iTunes Library Folder and it will appear in the tones section of your iTunes UI Library. Only reason I'm not giving 5/5 stars is because the songs are in random order and I havent been able to find a way to organize them by name inside the ringtone maker media browser, but for the rest, this app is near perfect.

Excellent App ~ So Simple, Some Get Confused!!!

Thats Right, it is very simple to use. I've been trying on a program I purchased and finally gave up. I installed this app and had my new 40 second ringtone made within a few minutes. Since this app links with iTunes automatically, this rest is so simple, even a dummy can use it, like me... First of all, drag and drop the song to your desktop. Then open the app and drag and drop it on the first page. Select up to 40 seconds (love that) that you want, fade out the end and save. This saves it in your iTunes automatically so all that's left is to sync your phone. Go to your phone Settings and find it under Sounds. How simple is that???!!

    So Easy!

So glad I downloaded this app! Using this for iPhone 3GS and m4a files from iTunes. I had been going through a multi-step process of creating ringtones in iTunes (Get Info; select start/stop times; create AAC file, drag it out, change it to m4r; drag it back—and sometimes it refused to drag back!) But this app is so much easier and quicker! The toughest part about this app is controlling the start/stop times with the rectangle slider. Why doesn’t the sample stop playing at the end of the blue rectangle? I wish I could zoom in to get a more detailed sound wave, but this is so much better than what I used before. I like the fade in/fade out options—very important when clipping a portion of a song!
