  Almost perfect

  What's GREAT about this app is that when you drag either the front or back of your edit, it will spring either right back and play from the front if that's what you changed, or a couple of seconds to the end if that's what you changed and play from there, saving you from having to hear the WHOLE clip all over again when you were just trying to perfect that end. It will keep on looping after that original jump. I tried two other highly-rated ringtone apps and they don't do this. I would rate this 5 stars if I could rename the clip and save it where I want rather than have it import straight into iTunes and make me edit there, and rename the file. (I like to add _ring to my filenames.) Also I can't zoom closer into the waveform. But the intelligent re-start of play on the end I'm fussing with makes this app the fastest ringtone editor for me to use despite having to go rename, and not being able to zoom closer. It wastes a lot of real estate at the top with showing the iTunes library. I'm too nervous to edit songs from there so I always make copies into a separate folder when I'm doing ringtones. I don't need to see anything in iTunes. Also this app makes it very obvious how much silence will be between the rings. It goes from 0, to .25, up to 5 seconds. Note also that you can adjust the volume of the ringtone.

  Produces very quick results, can’t use purchased iTunes tracks

  I had ringtones made from two songs in my iTunes library in a couple of minutes. I don’t think the Garageband route, which Microsoft describes in a support document, would have gotten me there as quickly. Very intuitive interface. However, at the expense of that comes the lack of a control for zooming in on the tone's waveform, which would have allowed to accurately place the cut-in and cut-out cues for the ring tone. Another lack is the software’s inability to use Purchased AAC tracks, i.e., those from the iTunes Store. They don’t even show up in any selected playlists, rather than being greyed out, with an explanation on a pop-up, when I hover over the song. If The Little App Factory can figure out to provide me with such controls for more accurate placement of cut-in and cut-out, and greys out disallowed songs with a visible explanation, I’ll give it four stars. Once they allow me to use Purchased AAC tracks, I’ll give it five stars.

  THIS APP IS A.W.E.S.O.M.E!!!!!!! It does EXACTLY what it says it does, very easy to use! I downloaded it a few minutes ago and have made 5 ring tones so far! Only thing I don't know how to do, is erase them if I upgrade them with different pieces from the same songs…? Maybe they could explain that, or give an option… It is EXCELLENT, you already pay for the music, it's nice not to have to pay a second time just to have a '30' sec clip for a ringtone, even better, you get to CHOOSE which part of the song you want for the ring tone, personalize it, set the loop gap (or lack there of if you so desire), lengthen or shorten the piece as you see fit. Don't know who's CREATIVE mind came up with, but they get my thumbs up of approval! The five stars this app has accross the board is justifiably fitting! Don't take my word, see for yourself!!!!

  Holy friggin Microsoft Jacks Batman!!!!

  So remember when Microsoft let you make your ringtones and such for a price ? POW!!!!! now you can do it again only without paying for it each time you made a ring tone. So if your looking to make a ring tone for some one of importance, or that one person you just want a jet engine to fall on this is it right here, only two minor issues, one i can adjust the bar as its previewing song with out moving the bubble for that segment of song, and every now and again it gets all frustrated and i have to close out of it for it to fix its self. These are so minor in my eyes for what it does that I'm still giving it all five stars great app have fun.
