    Amazing technology

    This app is impressive in its ability to separate out vocals, drums and harmony instruments. It works very well, though there are some artifacts and phasy-ness. But that it can do as well as it does - and far better than other vocal removers I've tried - is incredible. I can see it being really useful for those who are learning songs and want to hear individual parts more clearly, or vocalists who want to practice with a backing track only. The looper and slow-down functions are a great addition. It does nag you to pay $50 for it - which doesn't seem like a bad deal for what it does.

    Clever -easy to use

    I don't really have any projects in mind to use this app, but I bought the full version to support the developers of this clever, easy to use app. For each song I loaded it isolated the vocals with extremely high quality result - on the fly. Other than having the master tracks of a song where you can truely isolate the vocals, this seems like a great alternative.

    Yes, it is indeed "far from pristine"

    Not bad for a free app, but I wasn't able to get any usable results from it. A quick check of several tracks (both my own and commercial releases) revealed lots of mistakes and wierd artifacts, particularly on instrumental and rhythmic material. If the pro version (a $50 in-app purchase) provides parameter adjustments to fine tune the algorithm, that miht make this app more useful, but I didn't see any info explaining what the "Pro feautures" were. If they don't allow the user to get better-sounding results by tweaking the algorithm, then the $50 certainly wouldn't be worth it!

    This tech is AMAZING

    As a DJ I've been using this in both DJay & Virtual DJ 2021. This opens up a whole new world of creative mix ideas and allows you to do things that were not easy just a few months ago. While the tech isn't perfect, with a little tweaking it can sound quite good when remixing or laying over drums etc.
