Basic and functional, expect for the daily crash...
As others have said, good app, it does what its said to do and for the cost, it's great. More features, especially for premium pandora subscribers would always be nice, but again, the cost is perfect, so I won't ask for specfic things. However, I would say the persistant crash after pausing should be looked into. The easy example is pausing at the end of the day, and hitting resume the following day. At the end of the song (assumed buffered) it crashes the app. This isn't too big of an issue, but as I use the app at work and pause the music when I have someone in the office or take a phone call, if enough time passes (seems to be more than ~15 minutes), the app will crash again after hitting resume and letting the song play through. It's annoying on a busy day...would love to see some resolution to that. Is there any log I can send somewhere to help assist?
Just What I Was Looking For!
This is perfect! I love the minimalist design and the album art focus. Huge plus that the controls are not taking up space but appear when hovering over the album art. (Took me a second to find the album art and controls hover pop-up feature though.) But now that I know how to navigate and find it. It's perfect and just what I was looking for to listen to Pandora Plus without having to have a browser open. Thanks!
Well done
It does what it says it does, which is play Pandora streams without the need of a browser window. Thank you for creating this. Please just add support for the Windows Touch Bar and the ability to doc in the top header and it’s a 5 star app. Edit: Thank you for the quick response, here is one more thing I noticed. I can’t seem to pause, skip, or reverse with the controls on my bluetooth headset. Seems like another good feature to add!
Love this
I have been listening to Pandora in a web browswer window for almost 15 years. It was obnoxious, but it worked and I love Pandora. I downloaded this app so I didn't have to deal with refreshing my browser and other annoyances from using a browser. I was surprised at how much better this app is. Great sound and perfect Pandora experience! Love the cross fade instead of an abrupt change in song. Thank you for building this!
Much better than Pandora's own app
First off, this suffers none of the issues or bad design choices that made me frustrated with the Pandora official app more and more. If you want to use pandora on any Windows, download this app without hesitation. There's a few pain points though, that likely are rare for others. First, it doesn't remember what you set the volume to, it's always at maximum on startup. This probably works for most users just fine as they use system volume, but as I move between tasks and I'm piping my audio to a soundbar via HDMI (therefor cannot change system volume) Second, keyboard commands like space which you expect to pause/play actually activate the search bar, which escape doesn't take you out of, you have to mouse click the top right arrow to get back to Now Playing. This means two consecutive mouse clicks on very small items on a large screen. Ever since Catalina I've given up on media keys controlling the right app as every chrome and safari tab decides to wrestle over which autoplay video should have priority over the media key inputs. But when I command-tab over to Milkshake I would like my keyboard to quickly control things. Of course, the developers did make the great idea to create universal key combinations that can be hit no matter which app you are working in, but that took me getting confused and digging and breaks what the norms are for media applications.
