Want to like it
I only used it for a short time, so can't really comment much about the actual note taking/to-do aspect of it. Unfortunately, while I wanted to use the app more, there are two calendar features missing that rather killed it for me. The first was the inability to see a graphical week view. I am not a fan of the list style week view that the app uses and there is no way to change it. The other issue is that there doesn't seem to be any support for calendar feeds. I use a calendar feed to find out what events are happening on campus, as well as a calendar feed from the campus's learning management website Canvas. These are important parts of my calendar use to keep track of changes in classes and events, so not being able to see them really kills the app for me.
2.0 a step in the wrong direction
v1 has become a inegral part of my workflow, but v2 is a very different application and gets rid of many features I like and fixes only one issue I wanted to see fixed. It improves syntax highlighting for links, which I appreciate. Previously the link lable and url were highlighted with the same color and now the link label is a different color and the URL is less prominent. That said, you still can't tell the app to not use tab characters for indentation, which is a rediculous default to begin with and causes problems with other markdown editors. In additon, the new notes sidebar takes up way too much space, increases the size of your window when you open it, and doesn't auto hide when you open a note. This wouldn't be so much of a problem if they hadn't removed the recent notes feature. Speaking of removed features, you can no longer: - Display a note in finder - Open a note in a new window - See the title of the note in the title bar
Charged For An App Without Warning and I'm not sure what I paid for.
I wanted to give this app a try down the line after recently starting my own business. Unfortunately, the "free" app I thought I downloaded charged me $9.99 a few months ago with no head's up so I just found out outside of the 90-day-policy and can do nothing about it. The best part is, for my "purchase" there is no purchase to restore. After opening the app, I am in a 14-day-trial mode so I am not entirely sure what my ten bucks just went towards. With the way this has played out, I am sure I won't find out but I will be deleting your apps ASAP. Enjoy my money, I wish I could have left an actual review instead of this. Not cool, guys.
Rock Solid App! Cal, Task, and Notes together. 2.0 is better than ever!
This is a fantastic app that really solves a lot of pain points for me. Plain text, fast search, tagging support, tasks, reminders, calandars. It is fast, flexible, powerful, and simple. You can start small and gather complexity at your own pace. Also the DEV is extreemely responsive. Doesn't matter where you contact him he is quick to reply! Well done! Keep up the amazing work!
