Highway Rally Overview

What is Highway Rally? The app is a racing game that allows users to race on 26 different highway tracks, with the goal of beating target times and friends' high scores to unlock special cars, cash, and new levels. Users can earn in-game cash by completing tracks, getting air time, and drifting, and can use this cash to upgrade their cars' speed, acceleration, handling, and nitro tank. The game features different camera views, ghost cars to compete against, and the ability to challenge friends on Game Center. The app also allows users to share photos of themselves caught by speed cameras on social media.

    The good and the bad

    I got this when I had may iMac27” Snow Leopard. I enjoyed it - for a free game it’s hard to beat - literally and in more ways than one! I was able to conquer all the tracks, get all the medals, and everything … nothing else left to win. So I mastered it - for free - didn’t buy a thing. Then I my Windows died; bought another one iMac27” Retina / Yosemite. Highway Rally crashes quite frequently, especially upon trying to simply quit it. It hangs up the whole PC - can’t quit; can’t force quit. Have to do a hard shutdown / restart of the entire PC. Recommend making sure everything is saved & OK to restart before playing this game at least on my configuration. Otherwise - it’s still a fun game & I’m chalking up victories when I can affored to shut everything else down to play it.

    Amazing

    Everyone who complains about the barriers are wusses. That gives the game a nice challenge. For someone who wants racing games that really challenge there skills. This is amazing, Addicting and has very nice graphics. The drifting is the best part of racing because since it is an essential part of the obstacles they make it so much easier to drift in the game wihtout losing speed. Money is easy to get if you don't quit so easily. It is an amazing game if you are GOOD AT NORMAL RACING GAMES. I am almost done getting all my medals to gold. GET THIS

    Best Free Racing Game!

    This application is a beast! It takes a while to get to the top car, but that’s completely fine. The tracks are awesome and I can’t wait for new tracks and new cars to come out! This barely eats at my battery, has great graphics, cool tracks, and great cars. Love the ability to change your name for free and the paint job of the cars. Keep up the good work! I highly recommend this game for racing!

    Great but infuriating

    The game is great but sometimes the ramps glitch out, leaving you to lose to the ghost car. And one level took me half an hour just to get a silver medal with the Turbo Charger.
