  Amazing recognition quality

  I've used this app to capture text in books that I've highlighted and underlined. It is amazing how well it seems to ignore most of that while recognizing the text with well over 95% accuracy. It's not difficult to use, but takes a minute to figue out. The only feature it doesn't have, that I would like, is to be able to cut and paste from the app directly into Word, etc. All in all, very well done!

  Thanks to the devolpped this app. This app really saved my life. Because I’m faced with PDF documents and because of this application I’m able to open them with in the application I choose the file that I need to conver than I click open than using Voiceover the app tells me how many pages the document has this is good and helpful because let’s say the document was 5 pages long The app is so friendly that their is a radio button that allows you to load and process 2 pages at once. But when you go to save the document and you choose plain text it will open in text edit than that’s why when I’m going threw my PDF documents I c carefully choose right the first time around. It never always hurts to try this app out. Thank you developpers for this awesome OCR program for Windows OS10. It was the only application out of all applications that I have tried all of them had shortcomings t to but it’s true to say that this application does what it exactly states in the description.

  Plenty good enough

  I'm reviewing based on a single use, but here're some details: Read 0 documentation, processed (scan document to PDF at 300 dpi, open file, "Recognize Document", save without image overlay), the City of Philadelphia's tax valuation sent to my home address to send to my landlord (who lives in another city), flubbed a word or two here or there, some formatting (eg, dropping underscores in a to-write-on form), but the output is completely legible without tuning *any* settings (at a glance: settings exist that should correct the errors I noticed easily). That's plenty good enough for me.

  Pretty darn good

  I used this software to convert a pdf of a manual that was a sequence of images of the pages (png images I believe). The pages were occsionally skewed slightly, and the characters were pixelated, but LEADTOOLS OCR App had no problem with the document. I still have to edit it to format it correctly for pages and insert the original documents photos, but it has saved me probably a few weeks of work slogging through the document manually. I highly rocommend this App to anyone wanting to do a similar task.

  HERE'S HOW TO FIX IF CRASHING- otherwise amazing for being free

  This is a great app for being free. I have found nothing like it that scans pdfs and places the image over the text for all the university reading I have to do. However, if it crashes when detecting areas or recognizing the document, the problem might be with the pdf. THE FIX: open the problematic pdf in Preivew, and export it again as a pdf. Now, try to scan with this NEW exported pdf. It should work.
