Great RDP app
I started out using other apps but ended up using this because of how the hotkeys are native Windows hotkeys vs having to switch between PC and Windows, or having some third party software for hotkey configuration. This version is pretty stable and you can connect to mutiple RDPs..
Latest update crashes every single time
This worked fine on my Windows up until this latest update on June 17. Now it not only can't be opened, it can't be deleted and reinstalled. This is a vital part of our online business. If you have another choice for remote connections use it because this program is junk.
Can’t install
Followed all directions precisely for putting Windows on an Windows. No luck. Second time this has happened with Parallels. At least I didn’t have to pay for this failure. Last time I tried I had to pay $75. but they did refund my money since I never could use it. But now I see no point in ever trying again.
Junk client app
Parallels client app is junk and simply not work on Windows... These things should be easy to setup and should work right away, but it simply doesn't work. Besides, why you need client app? web version should work too but same problem web version requires internet explorer and I say good luck with IE on Windows. Crap crap crap....
Superior to Microsoft RDP but has minor issues
I really do like this app a lot. It gives you better control over your remote desktop experience compared to the Misrosoft RDP app but this one still has some minor issues you should be aware of. The most annoying issue currently is that when you are in a full screen remote session, the Parallels client seems to enable Do Not Disturb on the Windows side so you do not receive any of your notifications. It is a neat feature I suppose but should not be the default and you should be able to turn it off. i have confirmed nothing like this happens when I am in full screen using the Microsoft RDP app. That aside, while Parallels still doesn't let you stop the menu bar and dock from showing up when you hover the mouse at the top and bottom of the screen, they have built in some kind of handling that makes it a lot more workable than any other RDP client out there. I think it is just more of a delay but it makes it a non issue whereas on Microsoft RDP, Jump Desktop, Royal TSX, etc. all have the constant problem of inadvertantly triggering the menu bar and dock making it much harder to work.
