What is Echofon Lite? Echofon for Mac is a Twitter app that allows users to sync unread tweets with their iPhone. The app has a minimal yet powerful interface that can be left open all day and expands to support advanced features when needed. Unread tweets stay in sync with the iPhone, and users can easily attach photos to their tweets with drag and drop. The app also has a unique drawer interface for supplementary tasks such as viewing a user's profile, timeline, favorites, followers, and people search. Users can use all of their Twitter accounts in Echofon, and the app has full search support, including trends with explanations, saved search, and people search.

    Still no threaded tweets

    Twitter changed its Retweet/Quoting style months and months ago, but Echofon STILL can't view these threads natively. All of my friends' retweets have to be opened in a browser for me to see the context. The only reason I still use Echofon is for its slim, unobtrusive 1-column profile and graceful handling of multiple accounts. Every other app I try wants to take up an entire window… …but the instant I find one that's slim and built for multiple accounts, I'm ditching this POS.

    This is one of the best Twitter client out there. I also love the mobile version and they did a great job in on this desktop version also

    The best Twitter app out there, but...

    It's the best Twitter app out there! The simple fact that it keeps my Twitter synced between my iPhone, iPad and Windows is just marvelous! With that, I don't have to read the same tweets over and over again! If you use Twitter on more than one device, it's highly recommended to give it a try! But why the low rating then? Here's the reason: This last update corrected a really nasty bug that came with the previous version, where the drawer would always open/close whenever a new tweet arrives. The low rates isn't because of the bug, but because the devs didn't communicate at all about the matter(not even if they knew about it or were working on it). TLDR: the app rate is 5 of 5, but the team behind it is like 2 of 5.
