Blink Lite Overview

What is Blink Lite? Blink Lite is a SIP client that offers high definition VoIP, PSTN telephony, speakerphone with echo cancellation, support for external USB microphones and speakers, address book integration, telephone keypad interface, presence, instant messaging, file transfers, contacts management, screen sharing, multi-party conferencing, keychain password storage, and voiceover support. It is an easy-to-use app that allows users to make calls, send messages, and share files. However, there is no upgrade path between the Lite and Pro versions of Blink as they are different applications.

Blink Lite Features and Description

1. For OPUS codec, iCloud account synchronisation, iTunes pause and resume, unlimited number of accounts, call history, call recording, call transfer and more usability features see Blink Pro.

2. Blink Lite is an easy to use SIP client with wide-band VoIP, Chat, File Transfer and Screen-sharing capabilities.

3. Beware that there is no upgrade path between Lite and Pro versions of Blink, they are different applications.

    Solid SIP Client

    I've been using Blink Lite for quite some time now and really satisfied. It's also comes at the right price (free). The client has a wide list of codecs available (G.729 is the only missing but that never comes for free) HD Voice & Video calling, IM and Presence capabilities. Perhaps my favorite feature is OS X Address Book Integration. I'm giving it four stars because there's no echo cancellation. If you are talking to someone on speaker they will hear their voice, so it is better to use a headset. Overall, it's a solid and stable SIP client, never had a problem with it. It's not obstructive and has a decent GUI. Can't ask for more.

    Nice UI, Address Book integration, and it works

    Blilnk Lite is a SIP client that actually works for me. It has (contrary to other reviews) a dialpad, good connectivity, and a nice streamlined interface. I'm using callcentric and it was straightforward to set up. Great integration with Address Book which for me is simply required. Decent price. No complaints, but all I want is a multiline business phone and don't really need the the extra features available on Blink Lite's big brother, Blink Pro.

    Pretty good

    Please just add the ability to auto-pause itunes when receiving/making calls and it would be really nice if it also could totally stop other audio from coming through the speaker/headphones when on a call. I hate hearing other apps audio alerts when on calls.

    solid app, great support

    I've been using Blink every day since the pre-app-store days and have always found it to be a great app that does exactly what it needs to do, and unlike a lot of the alternatives does it with a nice understated interface. Keep up the good work!
