Fast paced and concise
Expositional introduction leads into a mild action scene at the beginning, drives the story forward and engages interest. The scary elements accompanied by sound effects are well drawn and well connected with the plot. This game can stand firmly on its own without having to play the previous two versions of Endless fables. I finished in casual mode within a few hours. The bonus is a mini adventure with the shaman from the main game and is just as entertaining.
Eerie and Suspenseful
When I read the story takes place on the moors in Scotland, it quickly caught my interest. There is a decent amount of contact with a variety of interesting characters and the settings are spooky and beautiful to see. The story moves along nicely and the puzzles are challenging without being overwhelming. I’m enjoying the game very much.
Challenging but great graphics and story
I palyed at expert level, a little more than I needed. Had to skip one puzzle but figured out that I had played a similar one before and if I had remembered would have gotten this one. Highly recommend worth the money. One of the better ones from Artifex..
Okay
First I would like to say these games are advertised at 15% off and I have yet to receive the discount even after buying the last 4 or five. So beware of that. The game itself is on par with all the other Artifex Mundi games (I have all of them). So you know what to expect. They are all fun and I enjoy playing them to the extent that I look forward to the new adventure.
A Nice Point & Click
I downloaded this because I enjoy playing Nancy Drew games, but didn’t feel like spending $20 to occupy myself with a game I’ve already played. This is a nice fast paced point and click adventure game. It includes a multitude of mini games and offers different playing levels so in theory you could play several times with varying levels of difficulty. I think this game is totally worth the money and it is nice that they let you get started on it for free. Theres enough of a “creep” factor to keep this game interesting from beginning to end. I completed this game in a short evening but you could definitely stretch it out longer if you avoided hints and took breaks often. Four stars for some cheesy animation sequences. Things I would have liked more of: dialog with other characters, stronger development of a story line.
