Shutter Count Overview
What is Shutter Count? The app allows users to easily check the shutter count of their camera to determine if it is new or heavily used. It also shows the serial number for Nikon/Fuji/Pentax cameras, internal serial number for Sony cameras, and lens serial number for Fuji cameras. Users can open or drag and drop photo files (JPEG or RAW) from their camera to the app, but the photo must come directly from the camera's SD card. Some Canon cameras require a USB connection to read the shutter count. The app supports various cameras for both USB connection and photo files, but the latest Canon cameras may not be supported.
1. Most of canon cameras need USB connection to read shutter count, the photo read method will not work, please connect your camera with USB connection first then use the App to get shutter count.
2. Note: Photo must come from camera (SDCard) directly, other App imported photo may remove necessary data and can't be used to show shutter count.
3. The App will also show Serial Number for Nikon/Fuji/Pentax Camera, Internal Serial Number for Sony Camera, Lens Serial Number for Fuji Camera.
4. Easily check your camera shutter count to know whether newly purchased camera is really new, or check how heavily used a pre-owned camera.
5. Just open or drag drop photo file (JPEG or RAW) from your Camera to the App.
6. * We can't test every camera, Canon's latest camera maybe not supported, user reported 6D Mark II and 5D Mark IV is not supported.
7. You need disable the camera WIFI first to use USB connection.

Works for me!
Super easy! I needed something that could read both camera models and this did it. Worked for my Fuji XT20 and my Canon 5D Mark III For Fuji: Don't forget to take the photo straight from the card (not after it's been imported to something like Lightroom) For Canon: I have 2 USB ports on my PC and only one of them worked to connect. All to say, if you try one port and it doesn't connect, try the other and it likely will.
Will not show shutter count.
Downloaded with no problem and accepts images from my Canon 5D III camera… but, unfortunately, will not show the shutter count.
Garbage!
As already mentioned, gives camera and lens info but no shutter count! Very very disappointing! Look for alternatives!
Does not work at all.
Gives camera and lens info but not shutter count.
