  A worthy upgrade from LanScan Pro v5

  I’ve been a LanScan Pro user for several years now. I reviewed v3 with 4 stars and noted that it would be perfect with the addition of port scanning. LanScan v6 brings port scanning to the game and its implementation is nicely done. You can select one or more hosts, open the details tab, configure your scan and — BOOM — see all the ports open on the selected hosts. I am absolutely delighted. This brings a much wanted feature to LanScan that is far more useful in real life than the port scanning feature in Network Utility. I’ve been a happy LanScan Pro user for years. I’m going to be even happier with LanScan as of v6. This is an essential tool in any IT engineer’s toolbox. UPDATE: With v6.1 comes the ability to save custom scan ranges. This app just became even better. I do onsite support and have to work on any number of network ranges. A great app just became pretty much perfect.

  マシン一覧

  マシン一覧が出せるので、DHCP環境とかだと便利だと思います。 無料版だと〜.localのホスト名が3文字までしかでない制限がありますが、smbutil status -e IPをコマンドラインで入れれば見られます。

  こういうのがほしかった

  こういうのが、前からないか、探していた。 見つかってとてもうれしい。 用もないのに使ってしまうこともある。 なんだか、楽しい気持ちになってきた。

  いいんだけど…

  特に制限などもないようですし、便利かもしれませんが、各端末別のメモ機能（端末名を記入したり）などがあればもっといいかもしれません。
