HakView Overview

What is HakView? HakView is a fast and small application designed for browsing images. It supports 166 image file types and allows users to open images one by one from the desktop or open a folder and browse all images using arrow keys to move to the previous and next image. The application can only access folders that users have granted access to using the Open File dialog. It remembers the access to the folder and stores it securely locally on the Mac. Users can update or remove this access anytime from the preferences window. The application provides several keyboard shortcuts for zooming, switching between fullscreen and window mode, centering the image, opening a sidebar with a list of images, and deleting the currently viewed image. Users can open images outside of the application by associating images with HakView, right-clicking on an image and selecting "open with" and selecting HakView, or dragging an image and dropping it to the HakView app icon. Users can open more images by granting access to the "MacBook HD" folder in the preferences window, opening all pictures in the same folder as the currently viewed image, or dragging and dropping them to the HakView application icon.
