Indispensible tool for virtual music classes

I'm an "old guy"/music educator trying to use technology in teaching virtually in these crazy times; proof you really can't afford to stop learning if you're going to keep doing what you are called to do. I've been using Anytune with mp3 playalong recordings that reside in my iTunes/iMusic lists in virtual ensemble classes (high school band). In jazz ensemble class, the tempo adjustment feature aids in getting students into transcribing and listening for detail and stylistic inflection. For larger ensembles (marching and concert bands), technical bits can be slowed down and perfected, gradually increasing the tempo as proficiency develops. While we can't play "together" accurately in a virtual world yet, the students can play along in their own 'real-time' practice room as they listen to the excerpt played from my workstation. I've encouraged all of my students to add Anytune to their devices! It will be valuable both now and once we're back together in person.

Liked it before ReFrame, now I like it more

ReFrame is great for isolating instruments when I want to learn a bass part for a song. Often it’s hard to isolate the bass in the mix just by ear. Now it’s a lot easier. You’re still limited to the quality of the bass track in the original recording, but it’s better than just using the EQ controls at isolating an instrument. My music teacher really likes the feature that lets you start looping at a slow speed and then it increases the playback speed after each loop. Scrolling back or forward through a song is easy with the touchpad. The user interface can be a little confusing but I’m always able to figure it out. It’s a great app.

    Thank Science for This Program

Been using Amzing Slow Downer for Years to learn songs and breakdown parts, and I tried this for 30 days and everytime I thought I hit a brick wall with how I use ASD I'd dig a little deeper in the menus and shortcuts and find that Anytune did it, and even more efficiently once I got the workflow down. I though it was missing a few features, but when I messaged the developer to make suggestions, he/she kindly pointed out how Anytune handles those tasks and now I've got it down and can safely say this is the best transcription program I've tried. I'll gladly pay full price for an app like this when I see how much care and work went into it. Thanks for the great software.

Perfection, well pretty close. Amazing Slow what ?

I started in the Amazing Slow Downer world until I met this tool. It does it all from slow down, speed up, tune up/down, chunk it up, loop it, and a million things I’ve still not used. This tool is the key reason I have a Windows at all. It plays well on my Microsoft portable devices too though I see little use for it there. YMMV. Actually I use it to slow down mp3s of my classes and podcasts too cause it is easier than most anything else to just take an mp3 and then do whatever you please with it. I can’t live without this tool for everything related to my song charting and guitar practice. BUY.

    A Life Saver!

Purchased this because I had to learn 25 Celtic tunes in record time before St. Paddy’s Day! Anytune has completely taken all the mystery out of learning this music… I’ve used the slow-down function to accurately analyze parts and have used the pitch function to transpose to the keys that I will actually be playing. The lack of digital “garbage” in the playback is amazing! And the looping ensures that I’m getting my parts down right! There are also a ton of other great features that I haven’t even tapped into yet… Thank you for a product that does exactly what is needed without breaking my bank account!
