LanScan Overview

What is LanScan? LanScan is a network scanner app that can discover all active devices on any subnet, including the local network and public subnets. It can auto-detect configured interfaces, scan IP ranges, and display IP address, MAC address, hostname, and vendor information. The app can also discover SMB domains, resolve hostnames using DNS, mDNS, and SMB, and allow custom hostname editing and commenting. The app can export results in CSV files and has no limitation on the number of devices found. The free version has restrictions on the number of fully displayed hostnames and displayed TCP ports.

    Great compliment to Airport Utility

I was looking for a program that would show me all of the WIRED and wireless devices connected to my network. I use a Time Capsule as the router before a switch on my home network and LanScan allowed me to see and confirm the devices I have connected via ethernet. Airport Utility only shows wireless devices so this program was just what I was looking for.

I'd Happily Pay Double, It's That Good.

I've used so many IP scanners out there and none of them hold a candle to LanScan. Nothing has been faster, simplier to use, and provided as much device information as LanScan. I'm an audio/video tech and use it everyday for configuring and troubleshooting networks. It is an essential tool on my computer.

    Best Network Scanner Available

I use this app on a daily bases. This is a must have app for my toolbox. They continue to develop this app and keep adding great features. This is one app that I highly recommend.

Easy Upgrade to V6 from Pro V5

I have been using Lanscan Pro for several years. The new port scanning is helpful to have in the same app the the other network scan capabilities. Glad I upgraded to V6.

    One of my favorite tools

Lanscan has always been apart of the toolset I use to help manage networks and I never really thought about leaving a review until I ran into another networking tool and realized how great it was over the 5 years of me using it. I never had a problem paying out in supporting the developers over these years (Even when they moved licenses around a few years back but they still helped the loyal customers!) and I never thought to leave a heart warming review until now, so I want to say THANK YOU. I love this tool and the work that went into it as simple it may seem. It's really worth the money (A few cups of coffee). Especially since they just updated it for the new M1 Macs (When I eventually get my new Windows I can continue to use it!) and most importantly affordable with a one time license, what more can you ask for? 😌
