Does What It Says, Should Do More

This app seems to be teh simplest way to transform text into an audio file. There are other ways to accomplish this so its more of a time saver than anything else… There is a feature or two that would improve this app. First is that voices are sorted alphabetically, with no other information. This means there is no easy way to tell what the native language is for any given voice…. The only work around I found is go into system prefernces and acess speech settings to see how they are sorted there… Also, it would be nice if one could create scripts…. That is to say, have the ability to use different voices to read different parts of the text. So you could, say, emulate a conversation or even have text that alternates between two different languages (thereby translating text). Ideally this can be done now, but one would have to do it line by line & merge all the genrated audio files manually.

    Facinating way to use Text-To-Speech.

I have visual problems and a lack of patience. Having to select text then hit the command key and then start the process over after you have read what you highlighted is frustrating. This app solves the problem. Simple, elegant solution. I use it for almost all of my reading.

    Very useful

This app is great for those times when, for whatever the reeason, the app that is being used won't speak text. Simnply copy the text and paste into this app and choose a voice, et voila! Your text is read to you.

    add feature

Also should have the 'duplicate' feature as Office 365, to put audio speech into written words.

    I Love this App!

This app is the best and most easy to use program I have found for reading text out loud. I use it for all my work in school. I love the option for changing the speed and for changing the voice of the reader. I only wish you could open two tabs at once and could change the speed it reads in the middle of it reading (instead of needing to stop the audio, change the speed, and restart from the begining). All that being said, still the best app I've come across for text to speech.
