The app is fast, accurate, and easy to use, and allows users to create projects and save their work at any time. The app supports MP3 and AAC audio files and makes all its edits without any audio quality loss or file corruptions. It also includes a direct MP3 or AAC file recording function and offers multiple undo and redo options. The app works well with the Soundflower audio routing plugin and offers an optional upgrade to the 'Pro' version for the full suite of editing commands. However, currently, only unprotected AAC LC mono and stereo files are supported.

    Only cuts the beginning and end

    With the free app, you can only cut/trim an MP3 or AAC file to remove material at the beginning or the end of the recording. If that is all you want to do, then this works great and does not require a re-encoding of the file (thus, there is no added distortion). If you want to divide or do more elababorate adjustments, the paid version may be worth it. The free version works wonderfully for what it does.

    Excellent for Trimming MP3

    If what you’re looking for is trimming MP3 files, then this’s the app for you cause it does what developers say it will do for free. If you want more, then you’ll have to upgrade the app. However, for me it does the job just being able to trim MP3. I trimmed a long file (like 3 hours plus of recording) & I had no trouble doing it. Thanks.

    One of my favorite Apps!

    I started out with the free version and it worked so great I got the full version. Easy to use, great text and video tutorial, quick customer service response. I’m using it to edit my audible genealogy interviews with my relatives and post sections in my blog posts.

    Good for basics

    I bought the Pro version and find it very convenient for beginning and end trimming and adding fade in and fade out. But I really with that scrubbing was abailable so you could listen when you very slowly mouse over the track to find and refine your edits.

    Does precisely what I needed

    I had some AAC audio files with extra stuff at the beginning and the end that I didn't want included before I submitted them to my business concern. Sure, I could've imported them into GarageBand and trimmed out the heads and tails, but I'd lose audio quality when exporting/re-compressing back out of GarageBand into AAC. This tool provided nice "hand-holding" tips and I trimmed my files with nary a fuss and absolutely no muss. It's exactly what I needed, no more no less. (Apparently it does MP3 too with a separate add-on, but come on! MP3 is a 25 year old codec and we have much sharper implements in our toolboxes these days.)
