Intaglio Overview
What is Intaglio? Intaglio is a vector graphics editor for Mac that offers a range of features for casual and business drawing, graphic design, user interface design, text design and layout, mechanical and architectural design, and automation. It supports many vector and bitmap graphic file formats, flexible rulers, grids, guides, and smart guides, and many powerful drawing tools. It also offers professional-grade pen tool for detailed path editing, powerful path editing features, variable stroke width, pressure-sensitive freehand tool, complex gradients, and editable vector patterns. Additionally, it allows users to create vector icons and other elements with scalable special effects, align vector elements to output pixels, and work in bitmap preview mode. It also offers full access to fonts and font features, multiple paragraphs, separate tab rulers, indents, spacing, etc. and allows users to attach text baselines to arbitrary shapes, flow text into arbitrary shapes, and treat text as graphic objects but edit it as text. Furthermore, it offers powerful 2D drafting features for creating scale drawings, multiple rulers, measurement tools, units, and layers, many predefined, fully customizable arrows, automatic dimension lines with manual override, and calculates graphic area and perimeter. It is fully scriptable for use with AppleScript or Automator and includes nine prepackaged Automator Actions and unlimited scripting possibilities. Intaglio Sketchpad is also available for iOS devices.
