Quick Easy Learning
Greetings! My daughter has been asking for guitar lessons. For her 11th Birthday, she received a small guitar as a present. I had purchased a guitar for myself many years ago with the best of intentions, but soon realized that private lessons were (1) expensive, and (2) difficult to fit in with work, school, life, etc. I recently downloaded this app and it is awesome! It's very straightforard and simple, hence Volume 1, but worth the cost. It has 182 lessons covering a ton of info. My daughter and I are now going through the lessons and learning to play together. The lesson presentations are very clear and easy to understand; and the embedded audio and video help demonstrate the correct way to achieve the lesson goals. I'm also impressed with the built-in tools (i.e., animated fret board, auto tuner, metronome, recorder, etc.) They are all very intuitive and easy to use. Granted, we won't be playing Hendrix anytime soon, but we're learning to play and having a blast!! Thanks eMedia…we'll be looking for the intermediate app and maybe finger style in the near future!
Great for incremental learning
This is a great product especially for people like me who get distracted by the millions of options, ways to play, and resources in the guitar community. The lessons follow a natural progression, adding small additions to your knowledge with each step. In this way, the learner is able to practice and become comfortable with any given skill before choosing when to increase the complexity. The learning curve isn’t too steep, so I havent found myself getting stuck at any place in the course. There are also plenty of options for each lesson in how to practice solo or with the MIDI or voice accompaniment, allowing for flexibility in style. Also very useful is a searchable index of songs, so you can jump back to something you played earlier for easier review. Great way to learn guitar without becoming frustrated or overwhelmed. I’ll probably buy the intermediate level when I make it through this package!
