Waste of money -- easier to use paper
This app is terrible. It literally fights you at each step. First, there are only a few choices for time signature, so you have to basically re-write the notation yourself to fit one of the included signatures. There is no provision for half or whole notes. Creating dotted notes is done only by "fooling" the software to do what you want. The tabs end up bering a combination of "real" notes and flags in black, and gray ones that don't play, but you are forced to create to fit all the notes in the measure. I have asked for a refund, because I know I will never use it again. Using paper is far easier and actually allows you to produce the notation you want.
Easy to use, but limited. Responsive developer.
This is one of the easiest TAB editing programs but limited. You’ll have to get used to tying notes together or not worrying about half and whole notes as those are not included. No way to add text either for chord names or lyrics. This program is probably one of the best to get started creating TAB but the limitations become apparent rather quickly. The developer is quite responsive to feedback and I believe he is working on the text issue.
Solid But Limited
Although there is a way to indicate bends, as far as I can tell, there’s no way to note hammer-ons or pull-offs.
