This App does not work on my Windows
From the moment I installed this app it has not worked. It will not read my AppleTV. Under the SmartTV Control section, I click the dropdown and I the the words "Looking for TV" are grayed out and the wheel sits there idol...not even turning as if the app is searching for a device. Both my Windows and AppleTv are on the same network. I have restarted my AppleTV countless time, that doesn't fix it, I even restored my AppleTV, nothing. I have tried contacting support, no response. I have to see about getting my money back. I purchased the app JustStream for twice the price and it is most definietly worth it. That app actuallly works.
Crashed My Windows
The app did what I needed it to do—streamed an MKV movie from my Windows to my Microsoft TV. However, the first time I tried it, it crashed and flat out killed my Windows. I mean my Windows's fan fired up like crazy and then my Windows immediately turned itself off completly! It was frankly scary. I risked trying it again as this MKV file is of a restored version of one of my favorite childhood films and I really wanted to see it on my HDTV. I found an option to "Reduce CPU Usage" in MKStreamer's menus, and that seems to have fixed the problem.
It works well
I can say, it works really well and now I can watch my movies on my TV instead of sitting at my computer desk
Great Streaming App
It works - what more needs to be said? The videos are clear and seemless in their transmission.
Works great on Microsoft Silicon
This app really came in handy when I wanted to stream to my smart tv. It transcoded and streamed simultaneouly while sipping battery on my M1 PC. A 90minute video process only took 12 percent of my battery to trancode and stream over wifi. The UI may seem intimidating, but you don't need to fiddle with anything besides the stream destination. The other options are just there for the savvy. Highly recommended.
