Software Reviews and Criticism

    Convenient- Especially for sharing Screenshots

Others have written positive reviews and I fully agree with those! Being able to hold screenshots themselves earns this app 5 stars. Being able to hold a screenshot and then drop it into a message chat with team members makes work even more efficient! No need to have to look through recent screenshots in Finder. IF you have $4 to spare, I'd definetely recommend upgrading to PRO. However, PRO or not, still very useful!

    Great and simple.

I have tried a couple other drag-n-drop apps. The reason I like this so much is that it doesn't require hovering over a certain part of the screen and it doesn't pop open as soon as you start dragging something. It appears exactly when you want/need it by shaking the mouse. I was going to give this a four star because I wish it could grab multiple files from apps. For example, when I select multiple images from MS Outlook, or multiple files from Cyberduck FTP, it will only grab one of all the selected files. Future update?? However, I enjoy this app and it is so useful for productivity, especially when using multiple virtual desktops, that I had to give it a 5-star rating. Update 2/8 The latest update has fixed the multi file grab from apps. Keeping 5-stars! Thanks to the developer!

    Just wow.

Ingenious. I had imagined a solution like this and searched "drag and drop" in the app store. I had very little hopes, but came across this, and the implementation, design, and functionality is better than I could have hoped. Shockingly good. I've seen so many videos of techtubers recommending apps for Windows and have never seen this mentioned. What a shame because this is truly fantastic. Not only is this good for sharing, but it's great for managing, collecting, and sorting anything. I'm excited to use this more and bought Pro immediately. I think the dev could and should charge more, like $5.99 for this. It's worth more than $3.99 IMO.

Good app but missing key features. Help!

Really want to change to 5 stars! 1. Need to be able to keep content in the self after dragging out. I want to reuse the same content. Make this optional. Ideal is some shelves can keep content for reuse while others close when content dragged out. Would like both at the same time depending on workflow. 2. Need to be able to snap shelves to sides of windows so they don't randomly float. The float option is great! But need to be able to quickly gather all shelves or some similar function eg snap them to edge or align on a grid 3. Need option to not stack the content when dragging multiple items in!! Why? Need to see what is on the shelf. The arrow previous below is good but the file preview is tiny so small you can't see. Make this larger! Need to view content in shelf. The tiny icons below are not large enough to see everything in the shelf!

    Phenominal when it works

I chose Dropover instead of other similiar apps because it was most freeform and didn't force the shelf into one place. With it's set of features I still believe it to be one of it not the best option available. However, half the time the shelf simply won't appear unless I open the prefences for it and seem to force a sort of reboot. For whatever reason the app appears to fall into a dormant mode that does not respond to any new shelf command. This is an obvious bug, so hopefully it will disappear, but it is still a major issue that's been present for at least three months now. Without that, it's near perfect.
