SoundCaster Overview
What is SoundCaster? SoundCaster is a software that is part of the Audiofusion™ Wireless Personal Monitoring System. It works with the Audiofusion™ Performer app to create a wireless in-ear-monitoring and mixing system for musicians. SoundCaster automatically recognizes any connected digital audio source and broadcasts them in real-time over Wi-Fi to each connected Performer, allowing every musician to customize the mix they hear. The system requirements include a MacBook Pro with macOS 10.12 or newer, a Wi-Fi router with 802.11ac or better, an iPhone 6 or newer or iPad Gen 4 or newer with iOS 10 or later, and a digital audio source. For best results, users should connect the MacBook Pro to AC power, use auto-configure or manually configure the Wi-Fi router, dedicate the router, connect the MacBook Pro to the Wi-Fi router via Ethernet, turn off Wi-Fi on the MacBook Pro, and turn off iCloud services and Location Services on all iPhones and iPads.
