Download the app from the developer...
Download the app from the developer, NOT from the App store. I downloaded this app from the App store. After the convoluted install (you have to remember to activate the plug in from the Mail preferences menu if you're running Mojave), NOTHING worked. The send later button didn't work, the snooze button didn't work, the reminder button didn't work, the notes button didn't work, the tasks button didn't work... The list goes on. The app, as downloaded from the App Store is totally useless. I completely removed the app from my system. A bit difficult because there is no way that I could see to do it from the app. Then I installed the app by downloading it from the developer's website. That install worked. The buttons worked. Not sure if I'll keep it installed, there are a lot of hoops to dive through to get the app to work with your email account. You have to set up an account online with the developer, and give the app access to your gmail accounts etc. And the developer keeps a log of your activities on their server. That might be a deal breaker.
Game changer
Been using Mailbutler for years and tell everyone about it. I take pictures of business cards after a networking event, easily add notes and not only do they show up transcribed but additional information is found to update the file. Only issue that I have is that over the past year it is finding more updates that are inaccurate because it info for people that may be associated to that person. Such as having a contacts linkedin profile already on the file and it suggests adding a coworkers linkedin information and link. So I just manually approve each update to avoid any wrong information. The mail tracking is top notch as well. I only wish this was a full CRM platform.
Lots of wasted time
This free version will track mail but I could not figure out how to “send later” to more than one recipient at a time. Sending later to a group (all bcc’s) was all I really wanted the app for. It was difficult to log in with Microsoft so I used compatibility mode, which may have made a difference. I could find my account on their dashboard eventually, so I deleted the account. So, fine, I’ll uninstall… No way!! I followed all the mailbutler instructions for uninstalling but it was impossible. There was no uninstall button in settings. I tried the manual way but once I got to a certain step in that, I couldn’t find how to make the instructions work. I downloaded CleanApp to help me get rid of it but while I can find all sorts of mailbutler files remaining on my computer, CleanApp found none. I have wasted at least 3 hours now and still am stuck with mailbutler files on my computer.
Radically Improves MacMail's Functionality
I have found this App to be provide consistently excellent functionality that makes working in MacMail feasible as a small business. I have had Mailbutler for the past 3 years, first installing it for the functionality of sending emails on a timed schedule. Since then, fuctionality has been increased and improved, making Mailbutler a key element to making my small Marketing Firm successful. The ability schedule email so that I can work asynchronously is crucial to me, as is the ability to create a template for mass mailings (useful for issuing RFPs or standardized communications). I have had only one need to contact support, and the team resolved my (user error) issue quickly and professionally. I strongly recommend this product!
The Watermark :(
So, I've been using this mail add-on for a few years after my previous Windows had to be wiped clean and I know longer had the command line where Microsoft mail would automatically notify me when an email was read. Due to not savnig the proper command line, I installed this. I only needed emails to be read from certain people on occasion and was perfectly fine having access to only 30 monthly read email notifications. Still not needing more than 30 read notification or not needing them for every single email, I'm stuck with this huge embedded watermark that I hate. Like, the whole purpose of wanting to be anonymous on having read receipts set up is not to have advertisment embedded in the email letting people know that the email notifies the sender that the email has been opened. To my knowledge, I do not recall any email from the company/developer taking a poll on whether or not users are okay with any changes that result in having a watermark?
