Must Have A Network Connection!!!! Beware!!! PC Only

This review is for the Windows OS version not the IOS version. I had set my songs up and I was set! We got to the Katonah Village Library and I was setting up. For some strange reason each time I entered my password into the app it kept saying wrong password. I knew it was correct. For about 20 minutes I played with “insanity” doing the same action over and over again and expecting a different result. Fortunately, I also had the app loaded into my iPad Mini 4. It opened right away with the same password. After the concert, i revisited opening the app on my PC 2013 when I got home. It opened immediately. I USED THE SAME PASSWORD!!! Then my troubleshooting IT background kicked in and I realized that I needed a network connection to open the app on my Pc. I tried it again at work without a network connection and it rejected the same password. This is a serious deal breaker. AND there is no warning that says you cannot open the app on your computer without a network connection. Now I have to carry a phone with a hotspot to just OPEN the app. This needs to be addressed. Aside from that, great app. It would be even better if it was more than a player. It should also pre-populate the ID and Password.

Great app, but I want more click sounds and settings

I want to love everything about Prime, but we still struggle with the click sounds. Our team is used to a very prominent or sharp click sound and the only one that comes close is “Digital”. Even that one isn’t quite enough. Also, we need to be able to set the accent on each quarter note for 4/4, so it’s more of a “tick, tock” sound for each quarter note, with the “tock” sound as the eighth note in between. We usually end up using our own click sound in our tracks. I noticed with this latest version that the fade out also fades out our click track and cues, whereas the dynamic click would keep going. Otherwise, Prime is really cool. I love being able to run tracks for some songs and just run a click or maybe click and cues for other songs. The Looptimus Mini (or the big Looptimus) is a must for Prime too! Keep up the good work guys.

      Needs Fixing

App is pretty awesome but my only issue is everytime I close the App and re open it, my Pan is always set to Pan and when going into settings to click Stereo, it's greyed out so I always have click on left ear and tracks on right only. Please fix. Update: I realized I have to click out “Outs” next to Midi and select what channels I want it to come out (when plugged into an audio interface). Also select mono or stereo. I guess this was updated a few patches back where as before all I had to do was go into settings and select pan or stereo. In another words this new update is much better because you can select what channels to shoot any track to.

      Multi-tracks made easy, absolute gamechanger!!

This app is amazing for all it does and it's free!! Conceivably you never have to give the app developers a cent but there are many worthwhile ways to do so. You can buy a looptimus pedal that will give you hands free control over the Prime app or pick up a track rig that provides you with multiple direct outs from your iOS or Windows OS device to your mixer. Lastly you can buy high quality multi-tracks made by a community of professionals and often from the actual artists themselves. If you've ever wanted to get in to using multi-tracks with your band, or even just start playing with a click to tighten up your sound. Prime on the PC or iOS is the perfect place to start. It's a well supported, complete ecosystem that will give you all the tools that you need to get started.

Good when it works, but not very stable

I got the App for my PC and initially really liked it. For a free app it’s incredible (of course, you have to buy tracks for it). Occassionally I ran into some issues where the click would stutter and separate itself from the rest of the track but for the most part it worked well. Then came the most recent update right before Christmas. Ever since then I can’t even open the app anymore - rendering it, and the tracks I bought, useless. I have the iPhone app and it also works OK but I’m losing confidence that it’s not quite as sturdy and solid as I wish it was. One week both my drummer and I experienced a crash on the same song using our separate iPhones. We ended up having to scrap that track and run click only - not exactly ideal. If there was some way to make this app more dependable, I would be head over heels in love with it!
