WhiteWall Overview

What is WhiteWall? WhiteWall is an app that allows users to turn their digital photos into wall art. With the app, users can select their favorite photos from their Apple Photos and create a gallery-quality image. The app enables users to visualize their images hanging on their wall and design their own arrangement of photo prints. Users can choose between prints, mounted prints, traditional and modern frames, and select frame type, color, and size. They can also move, resize, and edit their images virtually on a wall and experiment with matting to suit the selected frame and photo arrangement. Once the user has selected the images and arrangement they want, they can make changes to the mounting or framing options they’ve selected. With a few clicks, the memories are off to WhiteWall for award-winning production. The app is developed by WhiteWall, an online lab that specializes in gallery-quality pictures that arrive ready to hang on your wall.

Software Reviews and Criticism

    Great Concept - VERY BUGGY

When I tried to install this before installing PC High Sierra, it told me I needed High Sierra first. So I went and did that, and pulled up Photos to try it out. First it wouldn’t give me pricing on a small photo with frame, only on the larger sizes would pricing show. Then I got errors when clicking ‘Buy’ Then it started mixing up the pricing and showing that I could get a fancy print with a frame for a super cheap price. So I clicked on it and got… an error. I also can’t figure out how to get it to let me select a print style other than HD Metal Print now that I’ve chosen it... They need to really tune this thing up before it’s ready for prime time. I know it takes advantage of the new Photos features in PC High Sierra, but honestly, the App Store team should have vetted it more before giving it prime real-estate in the App Store. I’ll try again when it’s updated. *fingers crossed*

    Great idea - terrible execution.

This is a fantastic idea for an app, but the execution is terrible. In every projet I attempted to create, at least 1 or 2 photos failed to appear in the frame. Since this is a central feature of the application, it’s completely useless as of September 21st 1.0 release version. Let’s hope for an update soon!

    Does not work

How can Photos recommend this app, which does not work? After installing, I tried to use it and was met with a message that it must be upgraded to the version I just installed. One star is one too many. What a waste of time.

    Useless

The app doesn’t actually do anything for me other than show me to the website where all frames start out at $50 with $8 shipping minimum. maybe you need to be in Germany to utilize their services.

    Literally does not work...

I don't understand how this app is one that is recommended by Photos. Using a brand-new MBP, I installed this app, and right-clicked on a photo to choose the option to "Create Wall Decor". I chose the print option with Fuji paper. I was then presented with a preiew of a desk and a wall with nothing on it. I changed the options around and still couldn't see an image preview. Closed both Photos and this application, and re-launched Photos. Tried a different photo shot from iPhone and both Photos and Whitewall crashed. I don't even know how this app could have made it into the app store.
