    Mimeo Photo Books

At first I was very upset that Microsoft iPhoto/photo stopped supporting books. I chose Mimeo as it seemed to have the best reviews for a replacement. The learning curve for me was a bit tough, but the support from Mimeo was amazing. They always found answers to my questions and issues. It still takes me longer to create my books in Mimeo, but I like the extra flexibility Mimeo provides vs. the Microsoft iphoto books. I still have some learning to do, but my recent books have come out great. My biggest wish is that they would remove the very large Mimeo logo on the covers. My customers do not need to see that on their gifts. What about it Mimeo…can you remove those? Microsoft gave us the option to have them removed and it would give me a reason to give you 5 stars. My second biggest wish would be to be able to delete the unused or replaced photos in each book project. Microsoft allowed that also.

    Awesome photobook

Great overall experience using this app. The book turned out beautiful and it was very easy to create. Shipping was so fast and the support team was really nice in reassuring me the book would get to me in time. They answered me promptly on the online chat and were very professional and friendly. The cost was reasonable, and the editing tools were great. The ONLY reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because you can't take pictures out of the photo library if you decide not to use what you upload and that gets to be a pain. Especially if you have a large project and similar photos. Also, every time you do an edit to a photo it has some annoying lag time and flips your book around and sends you to the front cover. Minor but still somethings that could easily be fixed?

    Great Quality and Service

I've been using any/every type of app to print my photos. Mimeo Photos has been the trifecta of photo printing...1) by far the easiest to use 2) the print quality is like nothing I've ever seen 3) the customer service is 'first class'. They are always available to help and in just a few days I had all my photos printed and bound beautifully. I was able to have it delivered directly to my home. I was so happy I purchased this as a gift for a friend and they received their photo book at their home with the same level of quality I just described. Look no further if you want to print and enjoy all the photos you've been taking on your iPhone. Mimeo Photo actually walks the walk (as they say :)

    Quality

I have been printing books through iphoto and Photos for years and was pleasantly surprized at not just how similar the style, look and feel is between the Mimeo photobooks when compared with the Microsoft Photobooks, but how the quality and offering is now much better. I have since created dozens of new books from my personal work to family vacations to gifts for friends, as well as reprinted my old books through MimeoPhotos. The process is easy, in fact my 10 year old daughter enjoys making books, she might even be quicker than me at it! This is my top gift idea and as a professional photographer quality is top of mind for me. Bravo!

    Microsoft to Mimeo

I was happy with making calendars on the Microsoft site, thus disappointed when they were discontinuing that service. I continued instead with Mimeo that first year, just transferring my calendar-in-progress to Mimeo as Microsoft suggested. The printed end product was just fine. For the next two years, I have made calendars and a couple of photo books through Mimeo directly. I have been delighted by the finished product. The paper is great quality and my photos look great - certainly as good, maybe better, than they turned out when Microsoft was producing them. As for the process of making these projects, there are some annoying things that I’ve experienced. Some of it is just in getting to know a different system; but in some cases, Mimeo needs to find ways to make it easier to choose a particular template, to see the whole layout while working, and to play around with placement while you are working. There’s still an awkwardness about that aspect. I hope they work out these things. As far as service, my experience has been a very good one. When I’ve had questions about these process issues, the response has been fast and helpful. And if it’s something they can’t do to make the process easier, they have said they will work on fixing it for the future. All in all, a good experience!
