    Screen Manager Version 2.31 Worse

First off, let me point out that the previous failure to actually check for a firmware update which was accessing a broken/closed URL is still present in 2.31. The app doesn't really check for a new version against any database to verify your currently installed version versus what they have available for the monitor. Not that it would matter, because customer support isn't even aware of what the existing version is and that at least two firmware updates have been released since the debut of the monitor. The new problems with this app is that LG removed the Split Screen feature in the app. Thanks, LG for crippling the product even more since you've advertised this to be specifically developed to be fully compatible with Windows computers. /s The second problem is that, even though the app never checks a valid URL for a firmware update, the app has now been coded by the developers to always create a directory whenever you open the app or have it check for an update. Another, big thanks for nothing to a company that had no intention of fully supporting these products. BTW, I guess LG is never going to enable the Ambient Light Sensor which they advertised it supported automatically adjusting brightness to room light conditions. Nope! This has been disabled since the product was released.

    Just awful

I was an early buyer of the LG UltraFine 5K, and I'm amazed at how little LG has done since the release. I guess we now know why Microsoft is back to making their old displays. First, LG has gutted this app. It used to have a feature to divy up windows across your screen. It wasn't perfect, but it could save time in certain situations. Well, that's gone now. Numerous features that were originally advertised never came to fruition. The ambient light sensor was never turned on, for instance. Finally, this app just doesn't DO anything. No customization, no color control, no sound control. Nothing. I don't know why it exists. You can't even turn the sound up above 3 notches, or else it will blow you you. Pass on this app. Better yet, just pass on LG. I just returned another monitor from them (the 49" 5K) because it didn't work. Period. Never worked. It took 10 hours of support calls between Microsoft and LG before an LG tech finally admitted that it was a known fault, and they intended to patch it "hopefully within a month." That sucker got packed up and shipped back. Don't count on LG to support their products.

    Crashes immediately everytime

I cannot even get the app to stay open long enough to check for a newer firmware version. It loads in the menu bar for about 5-10 seconds and disappears with no error message or anything. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail. PLEASE UPDATE YOUR APP AND PROVIDE MORE FEATURES THAN JUST FIRMWARE UPDATES (even some of those would be nice considering all the trouble I've had with this monitor). Going months without an update to your only software package related to your extremely overpriced monitor is insulting to those that paid the extra money for a "premium" product.

    No Dual Moitor Support

This App will not check the firmware status in multiple monitor systems. The idea that I must dismantle my desktop to check for updates is lame. And on a second point, the idea that an App is required in the first place to check the firmware status is a very high effort level. It is not the "easy breezy” low effort Microsoft of the past.

Continues to be a massive disappointment

This is supposed to be a top of the line product right? Amazing that this passed muster back in 17 with the Microsoft QC people but alas, shelled out the bucks for a major disappointement. Having had issues with my 27" monitor that has only gotten worse since getting my m1 Windows mini, I was so happy to see that they finally updated, alas, still doesn't work. After an hour of trying every little thing to get the software to download, i came here and realized OF COURSE I'M NOT ALONE. This thing has been a joke for a long time. Microsoft should give us reparations or at least get one of their software people over to Korea to help them fix this terrible AND ugly piece of software. GET IT TOGETHER!
