1. You can configure the speed of the colour change, speed of the analyse algorithm and maximal brightness for your personal experience.
2. With each consequently selected light maximum colour pick speed is going to be 100ms slower.
3. Notice: due to Philips Hue Bridge hardware limitations it is possible to use only ONE lamp with such high speed update.
4. Select custom screen region to analyze for each light separately for a truly immersive ambient experience.
5. Warning: due to DRM it is impossible to use this app with Netflix.

Happy with the app,one huge problem (solved)
I think the app is incredibly cool, something I always wanted. I suggest everybody just hook a Windows min directly to your living room tv, Now for the problem. I paid for one month of access no more than a week ago, but the app is prompting for payment again and I can’t use it. As an un-usable app, I have to give it one star. Too bad because I would have more than likely bought the lifetime access after, but this gives me pause. Upgrading my review due to great customer support, and the fact that the app is working again. I rebooted a few times and that seems to have resolved it. Why not 5 stars? If the trial period was a month and then 10 bucks for lifetime, I could give it 5. Calling it free and then letting it run for two minutes before payment demand pop up is disingenuous.
Won’t Work Anymore, Up until then it was alright,
I’ve restarted the app, my Windows, the Hub and anything that can be unplugged from a power source, and the app will not stop “Connecting”. Up until then, as I said in the title, it was alriight. Not much customization unless there’s something I’m missing, but I guess really the sole purpose is movie syncing. Maybe customization doesn’t happen with movie syncing, idk, i’m new to the Hue. But either way, it’s sole purpose it pulled off okay i guess. Not much to compare it too, except a yuotube video of this dude using Windows 10 on his Windows, and streaming it on the One, and the color changing was tremendous. this app…. 5 outta 10. Way too expensive, that’s for sure, and for now, not working whatsoever.
Make an Microsoft TV app
The app works great once you figure it out. But you are limited most to playing video on your computer. If you try usle the airplay feature to play video on a tv and have use the light effect, you are limited. Itunes video will always try to play on the TV, independe from your computer, so there will be no visual effects. And netflix won’t allow airplay either. You can only use airplay and use the lighting effects when using another media player outside of iTunes or streaming from certain websites, like you tube. This app would be be more useful as Microsoft tv app, to allow for all video played through the Microsoft tv could have the light effects.
I dig it
I just found this app and have been using it with my Pc using the Microsoft TV as a secondary display. I have the iTunes Visualizer running on the TV and the lights responding to that color hue. It’s pretty rad actually. The only recommendation I have for improvement is adding some functionality to allow multiple lights to automatically analyze different areas of the screen instead of having to manually select different areas of the screen for different light reactions. But, overall, it’s a really good app. 👍🏻
