Incredibly simple and easy to use

This is coming from a new developer, so ive never used any apps or programs of this type before. One thing I never knew I would need is a good color dropper for finding and using colors I liked from other apps, or even photos I come across. To use this app, you simply open the application, and click on the magnifying glass icon. This then creates a small circular space with a crosshair-like point in the middle that will read out the colros as you hover over them. From here you can click and .. read more

    I use this app daily

As a web designer/developer, having a simple way to select and store colors is critical. I’ve used this app for quite some time now. I really love the ability to organize sets of colors into different swatches, allowing me to organize colors by client or project. Highly recommend this app for anyone who is a designer.

    Sorry guys, Microsoft ruined it

NOT the developers fault, so giving it a 1 star review is painful, but Microsoft killed the core function of this app. The magnifier opens up the Microsoft picker, which doesn't display the values when picking a color. For my workflow, this is a deal-breaker. I often need to see EXACTLY where the colors start to shift, and without being able to see a live read-out, it's just picking an area over and over and over while checking the main window to catch a single digit value shift. Again, it's not.. read more

    Simple, yet powerful...

We do periodic custom development for our customers, as well as public presentations. Having this application provides a simple, yet powerful level of functionality that we need. Overall, a very good application for any website and/or graphics developer.

Recent update ruined the app for me

Until the latest release this app was perfect. I'm still giving 5 stars cuz it sounds like Microsoft screwed you. I used to be able to do one keyboard shortcut, click my pixel and have my color. Now, it is a multi-step process, due to this change "NOTE: We had to remove the custom magnifier and fallback to Microsoft's default color picker as they wouldn't let us update the application with a custom magnifier that reads the pixel from the screen." It was fun while it lasted. Going to look for a.. read more
