EOBD Facile Overview
What is EOBD Facile? The app allows users to diagnose their car using their Mac OS X and view their vehicle data in real-time by connecting an ELM327 interface to the OBD plug in their car. The app can display engine and gearbox fault codes, specific manufacturer error codes, and real-time vehicle sensors. Users can also create recordings of their journeys on their Mac and include GPS data in .kml format. The app requires a compatible ELM327 interface, which can be purchased from the website provided. More information about the app and OBD can be found on the website provided, including a list of compatible vehicles.

Why I won’t pay the in-app purchases for this application.
The total price for the full version of the iOS version (Premium access, which I can’t easily find a list of what is included in the iOS Premium access version) is $14.99 and the full version (Ultimate version) of the Windows app is $49.99 for a grand total of $64.98. I truly understand the cost of software development, and the time, and effort needed to keep the software up to date for all of the different makes and models of cars out there, plus all of the different ODB reader hardware. But, I just can’t justify the cost of total purchase price of Windows and iOS version. Now, I know you’re thinking it’s cheaper than most of the more advanced but “dumb” OBD scanners you can purchase in Auto stores. But, when you combine the cost of the software plus the cost of a reliable (I’ve tried different scanners from the cheap ones to the more expensive ones) OBD scanner the total cost can be anywhere from $84.98 to over $184.98 for the hardware and software. And while that may be okay for a hobbyist that tinkers with cars or fixes cars for their friends. The price is too high for someone that just uses this software on their own personal vehicle. My suggestions for the price of the Premium access iOS version should be $4.99, and the price of the price of the Ultimate version of the Windows application should be $14.99. If the developer wants to make more money, then the developer could offer In-App purchases for storing information of more than five vehicles, ten vehicles, and so on. I believe this new pricing structure would in fact increase the developer’s sales.
it’s ok
sometimes it freezes and does not show correct data. Also there is no point with the “read” button if it constantly reads fromscan tool. but not bad. 2006 Jeep Wrangler
Too expensive, no way to really test it.
Crazy expensive for just checking your own vehicle.
bate and switch
This app doesn't do anything.
THis program might be great but its pre-purchase crippling is well.. crippling
Can’t judge this program without having to purchase it. It will not let you access or even preview most of its functions without purchasing it first. That would be all well and good if there was a refund option built in if you weren’t satisfied with the program after paying for it. Developers are micromanaging feature preview too much for the preview to be inciteful as to the functional abilities of the software.
