IP Scanner Overview
What is IP Scanner? IP Scanner for Macintosh is a network scanning tool that identifies all machines and internet devices on the local area network. It allows users to customize the way they view their network by applying custom names and icons to devices and adjusting the type and amount of information displayed. The app can be used to get a quick overview of devices on the network, view network changes over time, and filter out known and trusted devices to identify unwanted network visitors. Other features include sorting the network list, Growl support for notifications, contextualized tool options, and automatic scanning of local network segments. The app is free to use on small networks and is available in Home or Pro versions for larger networks.

Nice app. not worth it.
I would consider buying it for much less than the asking price. Sorry, but I immediately went to Angry IP Scanner. It shows me all the connected devices on my LAN, the Windows addresses, and even web detection FOR FREE.
Worthless because...
I was hoping to try this app and perhaps chose to upgrade it if worthwhile but it won't scan the various subnets on my home arrangement except for the one I'm currently connected to. So it does not even detect these other subnets let along the devices on them. Oh, yeah, limit "first 8" devices" on the standard version. This must have been a proof of concept released to the app store. Complete waste of space and time. I hope I saved you some.
Don't bother
This would of have been a great tool for me to use. Simply because of all the data that I could of used to make trackers of my equipment. However it fails compared to other network scanners. This app only give you 8 devices at a time. Not worth the time or effort to download and try.
Bait and switch....
So, you install IP Scanner... and are limited to a handful of devices, it tells you to upgrade to Ip Scanner Home, then you get 21 devices. Come on - with Wifi-lightswitche etc, you exceed this immediatly. And then... wait for it... you should buy IP scanner Pro, for 29$!!!?? Avoid it, go to LanScan or AngrypIpScan, both are honest products.
