Excellent clean task organizer of medium-high power, lacks some advanced features

TickTick is a very nice and clean implementation of a GTD-inspired task organizer. It supports a sufficiently advanced task organization model where tasks could have subtasks and projects could be organized into one-level of folders (playing the role of areas in Nirvana and other GTD tools). It also has necessary tags to support other kinds of organization. With that it is two levels above basic tools with flat list of projects like Microsoft todo or Google Tasks and one level above tools with flat list of tasks as Nirvana and could be be used by people with reasonably advanced needs. The tool is a bit less advanced in "engaging" part of GTD that is critical to pick up next task to work on. It does have several views, search, and vital "smart views", but lacks several other ways offered by "true GTD" tools like Web-based FacileThings or Nirvana. Yet, if you want a tool with a good Windows client that could sync with a mobile app, TickTick is as strong as you could find for medium-high needs. It lacks just a few advanced features that you could find in Todoist like hierarchical project organization, but comes with a bit lower price and a bit cleaner interface. If your organizational need is not super challenging, it will support you in full.

      THE Perfect App

I never write reviews, but I have been using TickTick for at least two years (maybe more?) and it just keeps getting better and better. Everytime I turn around, there's some subtle, *incredibly useful* feature added, and the pricing is totally reasonable, best investment I've made for my personal productivty. I honestly don't know how they manage to fit everything they have into this app, when so many other apps have at least glaringly inadequate element. But with TickTick, everything they add is just so darn thought-out and it fits seemlessly into the app and is just so intuitive... it's incredible. TickTick shines with its flexibility - there are a few features that I know are really popular for various types of productivity that I personally don't use all the time (KanBan view, Pomo timer) but that are not obstrusive at all so I can set up and use the app just the way *I* want to, without the app developers beating me over the head with how they think I should organize my life and work. Again, great, great work guys, please keep it up and don't ever go away!!!

      Love it!

This is by far my favorite task and schedule manager. As a blogger, I use TickTick to manage my editorial calendar. It has so many features that I love and use all the time. But there are a few things that I'd like to see added/changed: (1) Better support for Markdown. When I copy my text to put into WordPress, it doesn't come with the headings and other formatting. So I have to take the time to format it all again. Please fix! (2) I like to arrange my tasks on the calendar. It'd be nice if I had the option to see the tag colors instead of the list color, so I can get a better overview of my tags. (3) More themes! or at least the option to add images from Unsplash or upload our own. (4) Sync with iOS reminders! Even if those particular reminders had to have less functionality than regular ones, it'd be so helpful. (5) This is just a wishlist item, but I'd love it if you just had a place for notes. Maybe they could be scheduled like tasks? Either way it'd be helpful! Then, I could truly use TickTick to manage everything and wouldn't have to use my Notes app for notes. Again, awesome app. These small improvements would help so much!

      A Marvelous Task Manager

I made the switch from Wunderlist and TickTick made it perfectly easy with the import feature. I was nervous about making the switch, but it was very smooth and comfortable. I’ve tried and tested many other task mangers and they've all fallen short of specific features to make a perefect to-do list for me to use. TickTick is the winner! It has many options and I love using it to keep my work life in much needed order. TickTick seems very stable and the friendly dev team seems to be constantly working to add more features and fixing bugs. Suggestions: It would be great for the description list area to open up in a new, smaller window for a cleaner working environment. Also, the ability to change themes on the Windows would be awesome. This was one thing that I was excited about when making the annual payment but then I became disappointed after installing the app. A task progress bar or visualization would be nice as well.

A great To-Do app, but not great support from the team

After using many different apps to manage my daily tasks, Tick Tick is really the best. It has the most useful features, an easy and fast interface, and accessibility from pretty much any source—laptops, tablets, phone, browsers, smart-home devices. However, it feels like if you want to use this app you must accept it as is. On the support page I see many unanswered requests and bug reports. We don't really hear much from the developer and not much is changing. There are some bugs that I would consider as harming core functionality (like using template sproduce a mirror image of a task with their subtasks on mobile devices for example), and it doesn't feel like anybody is going to take care of them for a long time. For this reason this app cannot get 5 stars, but it is the most useful, so if you are willing to suffer a bit of annoyances that probably will not be resolved in our lifetime, this is still the best app to use.
