Beautiful and Modern App for Notes
This app gives me a refreshing experience with a modern design, a beautiful user interface, and smooth interactions on both Windows and iOS platforms. Kudos!
Solid and beautiful, but missing some very crucial keyboard commands
Using on PC, looks beautiful and simple, liking it a lot so far. However it is missing a lot of crucial productivity related features e.g. Keyboard commands, like command arrow key, to jump to the beginning or end of line. Some funkiness with the option & arrow key that does not work as expected. Animating new lines is cute but unnecessary. When hitting return to a new line, the timing is too slow. Selfishly, I'd like to have markdown commands e.g. "## content [space]" would transofror current line to Subtitle style. I really like Dropbox Paper's interaction of that. Or at least the standard Windows interaction, highlight & command & " ". Need normal in-line links too.
Good portfolio of options, albeit desktop app buggy
So far, the mobile experience far surpasses the PC desktop experience. When creating code blocks on the desktop, for example, the code languge wheel is not scrollable with your mouse - leaving you to click and click and click to slowly scroll the wheel to the language that you need. This sadly is a big issue for me who intends to bulk import a lot of code snippets from another app. Presentation wise, it has a great modern layout with nested subfolders and an interesting feature to auto play videos if embedded within your notes. I was surprised to see that there is no ability to safeguard either the entire app with FaceID/TouchID and/or Password, or at least individual notes. This is really why I'm only giving it 3/5 stars for now. I'm interested to see what the author does moving forward, but so far this is a great start.
