Thief Overview

What is Thief? Thief: Shadow Edition is a stealth action game where players take on the role of Garrett, a master thief with mysterious skills, as he navigates a gothic metropolis filled with dark alleys, treacherous rooftops, and concealed vaults. The game requires players to pick locks, crack safes, and evade guards as they pull off daring heists. The game is developed by Eidos-Montréal and published on Mac by Feral Interactive Ltd. The game is not currently supported on volumes formatted as Case-sensitive and requires a minimum system requirement of 1.8GHz processor, 4GB RAM, 1GB graphics, macOS 10.10.5, and 35GB free space. The game is presented by Square Enix in association with BVT Games Fund IV Dynamic GmbH & Co.KG and BVT Games Fund V Dynamic GmbH & Co.KG.

Pros:

-I have played all the versions of the Thief games over the many years and enjoy the world and game play for Thieving.
-Overall I enjoy this game and have had only one temporary performance issue error (during the first 8 hours of play) that required I log out and restart the game.
-I have a 2010 iMac 7i 16 Gram and while the install took over an hour, the game play and story are holding my attention.
-If you like the Thief World you would enjoy this game.
-Just wanted to post that I am using a mid 2010 iMac with a ATI Radeon HD 5750 1024 MB graphics card. No problems here. Works great and happy to actually be playing this game again. . . .

feral makes owning a Windows possible

seriously people, leaving bad reviews on the product because YOU didnt read the system requirements and make sure you meet them is YOUR FAULT entitled fools !!!!. this port is absolutely perfect. what a great job. the game itself. WHICH FERAL DOESNT MAKE !! is very good. i personally like deadly shadows better. but this game is still amazing. but my 2014 PC gets HOT playing it ! thanks feral !

How did a game this bad get made?

How this game got made is beyond me. It’s unbelievably boring and has no discernible plot or anything resembling a narrative. You can’t really interact with anything other than the very obvious, pre-determined areas of the environment for a particular level. Voice acting is terrible, though the script and unbearably-paced cut scenes hardly give them anything to work with. I have no sense of character, no sense of where or when I am, I don’t care about anyone I’ve met, especially the person I’m playing as. What is this pile of crap? Why waste the resources on porting this instead of the amazing Dishonored? This game is embarrassingly bad!

Long Term Thief Player (LOVE THIS GAME) 2010 Windows 7i 16 GRAM

Background I have played all the versions of the Thief games over the many years. I also enjoy the world and game play for Thieving. Overall I enjoy this game and have had only one temporary performance issue error (during the first 8 hours of play) that required I log out and restart the game. I have a 2010 Windows 7i 16 Gram and while the install took over an hour, the game play and story are holding my attention. Once I play throught the whole game and try the various levels of difficulty I will post again. OVERALL If you like the Thief World you would enjoy this game.
