What is Civil War? The Battle of Gettysburg app is a historically accurate game that covers the three-day battle of Gettysburg, as well as smaller engagements leading up to it. The game features six scenarios, accurate Civil War units, four categories of unit quality and generals, and different types of formations. It also includes advanced tactical features such as day and night, map zoom, strategic movement, flank attacks, and ammo. The game offers hours of gameplay and detailed combat analysis, as well as in-depth reference charts. The app is developed by Hunted Cow Studios Ltd. and HexWar Ltd. and is available on Facebook, Twitter, and game forums.
1. Over three days General George Meade's Army of the Potomac defeated the Confederate army of General Robert E.
2. The battle resulted the largest number of casualties in any battle of the entire war, and was the turning point of the American Civil War.
3. The Battle of Gettysburg was fought from 1st to 3rd July 1863, in Pennsylvania.
4. The first day ended with the Confederates in control of the town of Gettysburg but they had failed to push on to take the high ground.
5. The game also covers other of smaller engagements in the run up to the greatest battle of the war.
