    I got what I wanted

All I needed was an analog clock face to be on my desktop, readily available to glance at. Using “Style 15” in the upper left corner of my desktop, it’s never intrusive* and always available. It just works for all I need it to do. The caveat * is that when I step away from the computer for just a few minutes, the clock pulls itself forward of all the layers of open apps and what-have-you on the screen and hovers on top of everything else. That’s really just a tiny, minor gripe. As soon as you tap any key the clock retreats to its normal position, behind everything. I honestly don’t remembering paying to remove the ads, but I am not getting them. YMMV. So this app is doing everything I asked it to do, which wasn’t much, and doing it very well. So, five stars. If I were to use more features built in to the clock and of course, pay for them if need be, then my rating might be better or worse; we may never find out. But for now I am pleasantly satisfied that I got what I wanted.

    One would think . . .

I like the app, in spite of the non-information accompanying it. However, as is mentioned SEVERAL times above, moving it is confusing. It was only by reading a review here that I could get the app where I want it. It is unusual to find a company who DOESN’T WANT TO GENERATE MORE REVENUE. I am trying to update to access the additional clock faces. I too did the update and cannot update the features. $2.99 is a fair price for such frivolity. It is frustrating to not be able to use what I THINK I have paid for. Suggestion to the developers: Get off your laurels and fix this before customers start dropping your product from frustrated disgust. Thanks for reading. I will be one of those customers soon if you do nothing, ADDENDUM: for those who are still figuring out how to get rid of the notice to upgrade after you've upgraded, there is place to click "restore your purchase to stop ads" button in the app itself. It is under the Help Tab.

    It freezes my computer sometimes

I like the clock very much, in general. The reason that I gave it a 4-star rating instead of 5 is that it makes my computer freeze sometimes. It's really hard to find concrete evidence of the correlation, but I have used my computer (Windows) long enough to notice that soon after and ever since I installed the app, I have experience the "freeze" way more frequentlly. I put my clock on the upper left corner, and sometimes when I do something, a smaller clock would appear on the lower left corner and soon after that my computer would freeze. That's just one scenario.

    Good, but problematic

I paid for the ad-free version right off the bat. This is nicely designed utility, with enough styles and feature settings to satisfy most use cases preferences. However, for my use case—where I want to keep the clock floated on top in the corner of the screen at all times, the "always on top" setting causes a bunch of conflicts. It consistently causes any other application that attempts to enter a full screen state to freeze. Occasionally it also causes all the menu bars to behave as if they were transparent—if you attempt to click on an application's top menu it clicks through to the Finder's menu. Again, overall it's nicely done, but as a utility these bugs make it hard to use all the time, which of course is the point...
