I wish I’d found it sooner

I get LOTS of packages, and some of them come from overseas. I also live in an apartment complex where the mail isn’t delivered to the door and UPS saves time by dropping stuff off at the admin office. Sometimes, the stuff I order is date-sensitive, and Parcel is the ONLY way I have of knowing when something has arrived. It’s also invaluable when a delivery strays, as happened recently when for some reason an order for Austin TX ended up in Nebraska. Knowing where the package was helped me help the shipper get things straightened out. However, one of its truly useful functions it that it allows me to keep track of drop-shipped orders to my customers, so that I know if the promised delivery actually happens when promised. And if it doesn’t, I also have information to let me know why. If you run any kind of business where having details of where a package is, being able to check on them without having to open a browser is a major time-saver. I really can’t say enough good things about Parcel. Is it perfect? Of course not, but it’s close enough as makes no difference.

Does what it says & does it well

I’m not usually a fan of “subscription” apps, but Parcel stands out as an exception. I discovered this app a few years back and started my subscription a little over a year ago. I find it to have enough value to me that I don’t mind paying an annual subscription. It allow you to track your shipments, share the information with others and even view it’s progress on a map. There is a bit of a lag which I’m thinking is due to whatever interface there is between the app and all of the various shipping companies. Sometimes, it’s just a minute or two; sometimes it can be up to 30 minutes. But usually you get timely notifications on package progress, expected delivery and when the delivery has been completed. The interface is kept simple so that you always see the most relevant information and can always use a tap to drill down for more details. It tracks all of the big boys like USPS, FedEx, UPS but also DHL and the other shippers that most people don’t know about or thought were extinct. Plus you always get direct access to the shippers website if you need to reschedule or reroute a delivery. Including those features would be my only wishlist item for this app. Otherwise, it’s a great app that has remained stable through the years.

    VERY useful

I only need to track shipments a few times a month, but it’s always difficult navigating the shipper’s tracking tool. Some sites don’t work reliably, you have to remember which package is shipping with which carrier, and then you have to log into the site and often have to manually enter the tracking number to get status. The Parcel app changes all of that. When I get a tracking number in email, all I have to do is right-click and select the “Add delivery in Parcel” option. The package status, dates and lots of other information show up immediately. I can even look up progress on a map, giving me a nice graphical progress view (which, of course, is only as good as the shipper’s tracking system). All my deliveries are tracked in a single place, and I don’t have to sign in anywhere or manually enter anything. For an occasional user like me, its use is free, which is a nice touch. For more frequent users, the time saved by this app easily pays the subscription cost. All in all, a very nice app.

Best Package Tracking App for Windows and iOS

I have been using Parcel for a few years now on multiple devices: Windows Mini, PC, iPad, and iPhone (and sometimes via their web interface on my Windows laptop). This app does exactly what it should do: track packages and keep me up to date on their delivery progress. This new version (3.0) really updated the look and feel of the app and made it much more modern … it looks fantastic! I’ve used a variety of package tracking apps before and this one, thanks to its versatility both on the Windows and iOS platforms, makes it one of the easiest and best ones to use. I particularly like the integration with the Notifications on both platforms and the “enter once” and track anywhere versatility Parcel offers. I also like that when I am at work, I can open a browser, go online, and see all the same data and information there as well. Again, a great program and well worth the $3 investment to get the pro features.

Fantastic Application - Best Tracking App I’ve Ever Used!

In the six years that I have owned an iPhone and the three years I’ve owned a Windows, I have never bothered to leave a review. However, Parcel goes above and beyond what I could have expected and thus I’m going to take a moment out of my day to explain why you should use this as your delivery tracking application for both Windows and iPhone/iPad. I live in the middle of nowhere, as such, I often find it much easier to simply order things online versus running to the store. Parcel provides a most splendiferious way for me to track these items across all of my devices. In both the iOS and Windows applications, the developer has configured the application to immediately know that you have a tracking number in your clipboard and automatically fills it in and has the carrier selected. Additionally, in the Windows application, the developer has added an “Add delivery in parcel” option on the right click drop down menu, which makes it even more seemless to add a tracking number to the app. Another amazing, albeit premium, feature of parcel is the syncing across devices. At $2.99 a year, this is an absolute steal. Notification are seemless across all of my devices and I couldn’t be happier. No matter which device I am using, as soon as the information is updated by the carrier, Parcel notifies me. In my opinion, the only tracking application anyone needs to consider is Parcel!
