    Fun to Watch!

    Hugely educational - when the earth is rotating it gives you a feel for how much our perception of land mass shapes are determined by all of those flat school maps - I find myself looking just to figure out exactly what I am looking at. Also, the ability of this app to provide a moving image as the desktop instead of simply a screen saver makes this a must have on all my Macs.

    Earth 3D Light...

    I downloaded this in anticipation of finding a new "ScreenSaver" for my computer. Although the imagery is great, it's not a screensaver that can be used AS a screensaver. The only way that it can be used AS a SCREENSAVER, is if the app is active. It cannot be imported, and/or installed into my computer system, software for the screensaver. This same observation also goes for the "Lost Watch 3D App." Neither of them are screensavers even though they are listed and claimed as screensavers. Disappointing, and I uninstalled and deleted both programs... Also, to get other features, you are expected to pay for them. All you get is a basic program that really amounts to nothing much at all. This is crap!

    Still great and relaxing

    I used Earth3D lite a few years ago and just installed it again. It's as good as ever, and a fantastic background for writing. I had the paid version and it's worth the money, I lost access to it because of issues with my Microsoft account, entirely unrelated to this app. But I do recommend paying for this, the developers have earned it.

    Takes over the Windows - there’s no way to quit

    This thing takes over your Windows. After I launched the app it worked fine. But when I tried to quit it, I couldn’t turn it off. In the ‘Force Quit’ window it doesn’t show up. It doesn’t appear in the desktop screen saver window. There is no icon in the dock. No app controls whatsoever. When I tired to drag the App to the trash it wouldn’t let me because it “was in use”. I finally had to to drag all the contents from from the OS into the trash and reboot my Windows to turn this thing off. This is ridiculous. There is no QUIT button? I just trashed the whole thing.
