Onyx Overview
What is Onyx? Onyx is a pitch pipe app that offers a three-octave range in C-C or F-F with a choice of piano or clarinet sounds for several seconds or continuous playback mode for strings or horns. It also has a custom sine wave generator for pinpoint accuracy and can be tuned to preferred frequency on iOS. The app can be accessed through a widget on the lock screen or the watch app on the wrist and works even when the device is in silent mode. Continuous playback mode is only supported within the app and cannot be used with the Today View widget or on Apple Watch.

2. On iOS, all sounds can be tuned to your preferred frequency (due to technical limitations fine tuning is only available when using the Tone sound option on Microsoft Watch).
3. * Continuous playback mode is currently only supported within the app and cannot be used with the Today View widget or on Microsoft Watch.
4. Or, for pinpoint accuracy, use our custom sine wave generator instead and avoid those annoying loud pops that other apps can create.
