Not as bad as indicated
OPlayer is actually a pretty darn useful app. In the interest of full disclosure: I've been using the iOS version for about a decade, and OPlayer is my default movie player in the iDevice side of things. That being saud, I only recently decided to try out the desktop version, primarilly due the poor reviews. Low and behold, the desktop version of OPlayer is slmost as good as the iOS version. Obviously, the desktop version is missing a few features that the iOS version has nativly, but it's still sold. In fact, I've used OPlayer to jimmy open video files that even the vaunted VLC can't (or won't) open. All that being said, I'm very happey with OPlayer. 9/10
Decent if the file is supported.
For $20, I’d expect much better video file support. Only about half the content from my NAS is playable at all. Sad.

To be honest, it's a generally nice player with potential, but I can't recommend it for now because Movist is free and is faster. But with a few minor tweaks it could definitely becoome a player I'd recommend. I'd like to see: -quit app when window closes. -traffic lights respect system choice of aqua/graphite and use the native ones so that any themed traffic lights will match. -option to sync system volume to player volume. -give me faster scrubbing and quicklook preview for HD .mkv files like the free player Movist already does. -right click menu for things like subtitle management. -left click anywhere to pause. -always on top option. -default subtitle language, including option to default to disabled subtitles. -maybe even iOS-like scrubbing where you can drag away from timeline to get finer/slower scrubbing. The nice wide scrub bar is appreciated though. I really like the multi-touch gestures and I hope there are more in the future.
Awesome
I am glad I found this. I use to have to convert all my AVI files to MP4 just to get them to work on my laptop. Now I won't have to switch to MP4 fo my files to work on both my Windows's and PC's. Thank you for this program.
