A Preview of A GREAT Game Series!

If this prologue doesn’t reel you in, then this game isn’t for you. This series is so well designed and remarkable that it creeps into your dreams at night. By the third chapter the haunting solitude just completely gnaws at you. The prologue itself isn’t a brilliant stand-alone game. You really have to keep going. Others have remarked that the very end of the series was a disappointment. I would argue that it ended perfectly in such a haunting and bittersweet way. I won’t give away any of the story, but if you prefer a happy Hollywood ending, you aren’t going to get that. This game series is ALL about the journey and the end makes perfectly good sense but certainly isn’t a fairytale ending.

    Kept me interested

As a prologue it is much shorter than a regular game but it still kept my interest. There was not a lot of repetitive going back and forth to accomplish goals and the graphics and artwork fit in well with the theme (I wouldn't mind having of couple of the scenes as wallpaper). It took me a bit of time to work out the clues to the bridge contols but other than that the puzzles were not difficult, though a couple made you think first. I would definitely play this again. The four stars is because it was so short.

    Such an abrubt ending...

An intriguing and thought provoking game. I stumbled around a bit but that's part of the learning curve and a couple of the puzzles were a bit frustrating. I'm giving this 4 stars because of the disapointment at the abrupt and unsatisfying ending. Quite unexpected. And then expected to buy the next game to continue the quest. Deciding whether I want to carry on or not. Would expect the the next game to last longer...

    Great Game!

This game is fantstic. The puzzles are hard but not impossible. Great start to the series and it just keeps getting better as you go through the chapters. I have been playing he Nancy Drew computer games since I was a kid. The most recent one was so diasppointing, and I was sad that I would not find another game that matched its difficulty and quality. I am very happy to say that Meridian 157 has done just that. Hope that in the future they will produce additonal stories.

    Fun story with puzzles

It's no Myst, but it's alot of fun. I have no complaints at all about the sudden ending, as it is a *free* teaser for the series. I do wish all the puzzles would give progressive hints (a great feature), and never only give you the option of skipping the puzzle or not. I also bought and went through Chapter 1, and liked that, too.
