Almost perfect: search and compose functions not working

This is the best email app I've ever used - if for no other reason than the 'Adaptive Colouring' feature that saves my eyes from burning when using dark mode (which is 100% of the time). I don't know how I ever lived without it, and I certainly don't understand how anyone else can tolerate reading white-background emails while using an otherwise dark interface! There is one large persistent issue I have, however, which is that the search function has rarely worked for me over the past months of using the app. No matter how many times it's updated, this issue persists. A fix would be much appreciated! EDIT: One other 'big' issue: The compose button is doesn't always work for me in this latest update. Whether I press it or use the "⌘N" keystroke, oftentimes nothing happens.

    It's so close to perfect...

I love Edison. I started using it when it was in beta and have replaced my Microsoft Mail iPhone with this. When it moved to the Windows, I was estatic. In it's current state, it still deserves 5 stars because it's just that good. However, I've run into a one problem that I wanted to pass along to the dev team. The search function sometimes flat out doesn't work 10% of the time. You search for something and it starts an never-ending search. Like I said, it's only 10% of the time, but it's annoying to have to go to Gmail or whatver just to search for one thing. It's very random too. No clue why some searches are instant and others aren't. It seems like most of the reviews are saying "there's just this one thing," so I'm sure in a month or two all the problems will be fixed. Nevertheless, this is the best email application in the world. Highly reccomend using on Windows, iPhone, and whatever else.

Great email app...just one small complaint

So I actually started using Edison back when it was in beta, and stopped using it because it had issues. NO MORE! It's solid as can be now and a viable email client. I love the user interface design, it's functional and does it's job very well. But there is one small problem, and I don't know if it was just me or what, but I had set up accounts on the Windows app and was hoping that when I installed Edison on my iPad and iPhone, those accounts would have automagically been sync'd - instead I had to set everything up from scratch TWICE! That was not a good user experience since I have five email accounts that I use. If you guys fixed that, it would be five stars. For now, four, because the app is almost awesome.

Great email app, but lacks some features

Been using this app on iOS for quite sometime and have absolutely loved it. Now that iOS allows to set Email as the default email app, it's even better! I would give this app 5 stars if it had the ability to sort email by sender or subject. Also, it would be great if it could search within a specific folder rather than all folders. I'm also still having issues with emails indicating "no content" on both the iOS and PC version. Fix/add these features and it will truly be a 5 star app.

    Battery Killer

When I downloaded this app for my iphone and ipad, I LOVED IT. Then I wanted the integration with my PC. I downloaded it and realized that my battery would drain crazy fast. When I started looking for reasons, I was led to see what apps are constantly pulling internet info in the background. This app only allows for your emails to be pulled in the background every 1, 3, or 5 minutes. You can not turn it off on Windows like you can by disabling background app refresh on iOS. So you are either forced to allow it to check every email account every 1,3, or 5 minutes and drain your battery crazy fast (even when your compter is sleeping), or you have to delete it. I had it for one day while I was student teaching. I left at 7am and it was 100% charged, I closed my laptop and took it with me to school. I only used my laptop for about 15 minutes all day. When I got home at 5 pm, only using it for 15 minutes (the rest of the day the laptop was closed and in my backpack) it was at less that 40% battery. I have a 2020 PC 16", so that should not be the case. I checked all possible things, removed this program and now I am back to normal battery life. Hopefully they change this option because I honestly love the app but it is 100% unusable on Pc because it will kill your battery.
