Planner 5D Overview

What is Planner 5D? Planner 5D is an interior design app that allows users to create detailed 2D and 3D floor plans, browse a catalog of over 5000 items, and create photo-realistic images of their projects. The app features drag and drop design in both 2D and 3D modes, a user-friendly interface, and the ability to create unique designs for both the interior and exterior of a project. Users can sign in with Google+ or Facebook to work on their projects on any platform, switch between Metric and Imperial systems of measurement, and save and share their projects with others. The app is available in both a free and premium version, with the premium version offering access to the entire catalog and the ability to customize furniture. The app is ad-free and follows Apple Design Guidelines, with support for Apple Pencil and 3D Touch. The app can be used without an active subscription, but premium features require a monthly or yearly subscription. The app is available on iOS and Android platforms.

2. Payment for your subscriptions will be charged to your credit card through your iTunes account at confirmation of purchase.

3. Planner 5D can be used without an active subscription with a limited catalog and without an ability to customize furniture.

4. Subscriptions will automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off no later than 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period.

5. Or send a message to our support team by tapping on the button "Report a Problem" in the profile screen.

6. Subscriptions and auto-renewal can be managed/turned-off at the iTunes account settings.

    An Intuitive Floor Planner

    I was looking for an app for my Windows to do a single bedroom plan. Planner 5D does an excellent job. It took me about ten minutes to get the hang of the program. The free version does not allow you to delete item selections once selected but they can be dragged out of the room and the room itself can be deleted to start over. Internal walls can be built with partition item. Exterior walls snap into place once a corner distance is set for the wall. Windows and doors are easily set and most items have a rotation tab for alignment in the the room. Once the overall dimensions of the room are done and exterior walls set there are enough items to populate the room to get a good feel for a layout and the 3D view is a plus. You can set recessed lighting with the chandelier lighting item selection. I took a screenshot with Windows and was able to both print and email a copy of the plan. There is an external ruler for internal partition size placement and exterior dimensions show up in the walls. Great program!

    exceptional customer support

    I purchased the free version and quickly realized that an upgrade to full access as an inApp purchase was what I needed. Initially I had problems getting the full access to unlock on my Windows. I contacted the developer and while we had a little back an forth to understand and get it fixed, I am now delighted that the full access works. I give these folks 5 stars because of the quick responses to each and every question. They requested screen shots to get a better understanding and resolved my issues. This is by far the best developer I have worked with in a long time. If the features of this App are what you need, then I firmly recommend this one. They will not let you down.

    Does NOT Sync & POOR Support

    I can’t even get past the setup phase to even let you konw how the application works. A LIFETIME license was purchased and is supposed to work across all your platforms. It does not or at least is not in my instance. Their system will NOT recognize my login credentials. Good luck if you have an issue as there is no phone support and when you email them they don’t get back to you. Well, they did email me back once (after MANY emails to them) and said “use your login”…ummm what is the heck do you think i have been doing? Microsoft gets a BIG WALK OF SHAME here too. They will not issue a refund.

    3.5 stars. Great, but also infuriating.

    Overall I do recommend this app. I get incredibly frustrated with the bad UX. It's intuitive, but could be so much better with keyboard shortcuts, a choice to add length to one side or the other (vs both sides, which throws off a layout), making snap to work better, making wall thickness not make the room smaller, allowing feet and inches, etc… If the app developer wants to get in touch with me, as a UX designer I'd be glad to discuss more of these issues in depth and solutions to streamline.
